Again these things are why it was a four-star book, and not a five, though the most important thing for me, personally, was that I had a fun time reading this, and didn´t get bored.

I loved loved and loved Elena, the beautiful,smart , strong and absolutely breathtaking woman. She suffered so much throughout her life, some of the worst by her own blood members, that it's a freaking miracle how she still has love and kindness in her heart. She deserved a lot better than her family but her loyalty towards them teared me up(some angry years and some sad ones) GIULIO I've renounced my birthright as the heir to an Italian mafia empire, but no one leaves the brotherhood without paying a price. To evade my enemies, I stay on the move. Mafia Darling was amazing and concluded Francesca and Fausto’s story very well. I’m definitely going to continue. I enjoy a villain getting a story and perhaps redeeming himself so I can’t wait to read Enzo’s book.

I can safely say I'm in my dark mafia romance era, and Mila Finelli's Mafia Target was perfect for that! This book was a great mixture of mystery, action, and steamy romance. Watching Alessio and Giulio fall for each other in such an unconventional way was absolutely perfect! This is my first Mila Finelli read, and it's a standalone MM mafia romance with a HEA and two gorgeous, dangerous Italian men!This is the fourth book in the Kings of Italy series. I couldn’t put this book down until I finished it. I haven’t read an M/M romance in awhile and this one definitely didn’t disappoint. Giulio’s friend Theo who is a famous designer and his love interest Nic, who is a Russian Pakham, are supposed to get their own novella, and I will definitely read it.

I have read Mafia before and it is always intense with torture and illegal dealings but I wasn't aware of how hot that gets when you add this into their chemistry. Wally's future has already been decided for him. Become deputy of The Neighborhood, marry his childhood friend, the beautiful and rich Julie Joyful, to save his father's dying store from bankruptcy, and live happily every after. Unsurprisingly, I liked Enzo much more than Fausto and I think that's because Enzo had multiple layers to him and he was such a complex character and that's what I loved. I didn't have to agree with his actions and he was cruel to Gia during many scenes in the book, but I kind of understood why he acted that way. I was missing out on more of the connection I wanted. There were only like 2 heart to heart moments or else it was all smut holding them together. They had so much sexual tension especially when they would fight and when they finally gave in the spice between them was off the charts. These two didn’t disappoint in the spice department, once they got their hands on each other they couldn’t be stop and add their dirty talk.🥵 I can’t wait for the next book! Elena Lombardi from The Evolution Of Sin trilogy is here and finally gets her own story. She is a powerful criminal lawyer and now has to help mafia capo Dante Salvatore get out of trouble…well at least some of it…defending him. Elena loathes this devious and dark man. Dante knows this but can’t help to provoke his new spitfire attorney. Can she clear him on this charge without killing him herself? If you haven’t read the previous trilogy no worries, you are able to start with this duet. I wanted to give Elena a clean slate going into this so I too have not read the previous trilogy where she first appeared. As this is a duet it ends on a major cliffhanger. I loved Dante and Elena. Their chemistry and banter are a perfect combination. What a rush of intrigue, action and suspense that will have you counting down the days until book two. I’ve fallen Hard for this Capo!!! A Must Read Mafia Romance! Told in dual POV The author is a massive simp for Reboot Wally and decided to make a fic with him and the reader being flirty/ angsty silles. Mila had me nervou though. Overly obstinate, spitfire just to be spitfire heroines are not my jam- and I just knew that Gia would be MORE than a handful as a heroine. And Enzo- well he’s the villain. Sure, I had some empathy for him in book 2 as he was tortured and humliated, but his enemies were my dearest couple, and Enzo had been very naughty trying to take on my daddy Fausto. But there was a real spark of humanity that mattered- Mila intentionally giving us a glimpse into him to warm us to him as a leading man. But still, could I root for and adore this man? Especially when the romantic element in this story was shaping up to be a bit darker than the one before? The only thing I thought was missing was, that one of the characters had a very traumatic childhood, which also impacts his present views of himself, and I wish that we could´ve seen him heal from this trauma, or at least see him talk to someone he trusted. If you've read Mafia Mistress/Darling you know that this author writes bonkers plots with an unhinged feral joy that I find addicting. Mafia Madman is no different. There aren't any redemption arcs here and no perfect characters. Enzo is psycho when the book begins and he's a psycho but just in love when the book ends. The war between Fausto and Enzo is still on and there was no real resolution to that but it also made sense. I would have hated for them to suddenly become Mafia bros. There is no tying everything up with a perfect bow. But the end was still oh so satisfying. The steam is steamy. There's consensual nonconsent, rough sex, praise kink, humiliation kink, and probably a few other kinks I'm spacing on. There's a lot of violence and a Mike Tyson moment 👂(iykyk) that was so bananas I couldn't stop laughing. This is definitely not for the faint of heart or those with pearls they like to clutch. But for anyone who wants to take a chance, it's a sexy, wild ride with an irredeemable villain and some quality smut. Even though I enjoyed myself immensely reading this book, I would have liked to see more relationship development and more tender moments where she anchors him.
