About this deal

I have to congratulate Duncan Ralston with this story. For me, it is up there with some of the Matt Shaw stories I enjoyed. This was a twisted mess of sexual raunchiness with some weird and crazy stuff thrown in that will make you squirm along with some gagging reflexes. There are warnings on this book so it is best to heed them as this book is beyond extreme as it is really leans a lot toward extreme twisted porn is the best way to describe it. Moynagh Sullivan (Maynooth University), 'Mother and Child: Subjective Time, Space, History in Emma Donoghue's Room,' keynote delivered at ACIS (University of Miami, 2015). Oh, the book is called Woom bc Johnny has a speech impediment where he sometimes pronounces R's as W's. (That and it's a thinly veiled play on the word Womb). I'm pretty sure the room they're in is Room 6 but I cannot for the life of me remember the number and I'm not rereading it just for that. This book is not for people with any type of triggers that cannot handle extreme graphic situations. I would recommend this to hard core horror fans that have stomachs made of steel! I had to literally read this in small doses as it was a rough read and I do believe that it is the most twisted story I have ever read. With all that being said I am giving this book four "Motel Madness" stars!

Astounding, terrifying… It’s a testament to Donoghue’s imagination that she is able to fashion radiance from such horror.’– The New Yorker Tropes show how literature is conceptualized and created and which mixture of elements makes works and genres unique: S. Sreelekshmi, ' Beyond the Walls: A Meditation on Confinement and Freedom in Emma Donoghue’s Room,' Journal of Emerging Technologies and Innovative Research, 8:1 (Jan 2021), https://www.jetir.org/view?paper=JETIR2101217 Ben Davies, ‘Exceptional Intercourse: sex, time and space in contemporary novels by male British and American writers’ [coda about Room], (thesis, University of St Andrews, 2011)

Conclusion

As a life-affirming fable of parent-child love, and an antidote to the prurience of so much crime fiction, it's a triumph, and deserves to be a hit.’– Daily Telegraph How is Shyla able to handle dudes shitting in a diaper but a story about a guy pooping heroin bags makes her tell Angel to stop and it's gross. For instance, in the first main chapter, titled “Cram(ps),” Angel tells Shyla about a couple, Johnny and Jenny, who turn into drug mules and use Room 6 as a meet up spot for their dealer. It’s clear that Johnny is the loser of the relationship, with Jenny sleeping around and basically disrespecting Johnny at every turn, but then one night she decides to try and smuggle the dime bags of heroin up in her vagina after she tries and fails to smuggle them in her stomach. Everything is described in graphic detail, from her being unable to keep the bags down, to her putting them in her genitals. And things get even worse when the bag tears.

I don't regret reading it. I'll never forget certain things, unfortunately, lol, but it was one hell of a wild ride! I could never in a million years watch this if they ever make it into a movie. Records the default button state of the corresponding category & the status of CCPA. It works only in coordination with the primary cookie. The story is told with unsurpassed panache. … Room will certainly be much garlanded, and it will deserve every prize it gets. Fantastic.’– Readers Digest Whether we like it or not, birth opens the gate of death. Between the sentence lies the path of life, traveled by all beings, and no one gets out of here without some kind of mental or somatic souvenir. While some manage to heal their wounds, others may spiral into madness during the process.

Second thing I don't expect is to be genuinely disturbed. This one may come as a surprise to some, but while I find them fun reads, graphic violence doesn't really bother me. It usually is something psychological in my horror that ends up being the thing that makes me put a book down and shudder. About the book: The Lonely Motel holds many dark secrets... and Room 6 just might possess the worst of them all. Also the whole talk about Shyla not getting pleasure from a normal sized penis since she doesn't have a cervix because her vagina is so long is not true. After a Trachelectomy the vagina is shorter not longer.
