About this deal

The Rise of Scourge • A Shadow in RiverClan • Winds of Change • Exile from ShadowClan • A Thief in ThunderClan However, the conflict between the three near the end (Lionblaze's nightmares, Ashfur as a whole) was very interesting to read. Verbannt (DE), Beltz & Gelberg (abridged audiobook), 21 February 2017, translated by Anja Hansen-Schmidt and narrated by Marlen Diekhoff [18] a b c "Erin Hunter Chat #4 Transcript—January 19, 2008". Wands and Worlds . Retrieved 13 April 2008. Maybe it's just my preference, but it seems way more mystical and prophecy-fulfilling for the Three to come from the same litter. Jayfeather and Lionblaze will always be closer than Dovekit or Ivykit will be to either of them. It kind of feels like the Erins made up a subsitute. I mean, why them and not Hollyleaf or whichever kit isn't chosen? The way we all thought it was made more sense.

The writing was excellent, the characters believable, but the plot? I was disappointed in this last installment of Power of Three, reasons listed below: Following their success in Outcast, the group of cats who made the journey to the Tribe of Rushing Water return to the Clans. Shortly after their return, a loner cat named Sol arrives on ThunderClan territory and informs Jaypaw and Leafpool that the sun will disappear. On the other hand, Lionpaw doesn't really have much to do in this book. The only thing you can say he did was fight some battles and then get injured by falling into an old badgers den with Breezepaw. He's one of the final three in later books and it just doesn't seem they thought about what powers he would have too much. All his power even is that he can fight well, which isn't that impressive to me. There are loads of Warriors who could fulfill that kind of role. Add the beautiful Hollyleaf plush to your Warrior Cats collection and enjoy the cat's silky long fur and gorgeous green eyes up close. Measures approximately 35cm in length. Squirrelstar is the current leader of ThunderClan in the lake territories. She was born as Squirrelkit to Firestar and Sandstorm alongside Leafkit. As an apprentice, Squirrelpaw was mentored by Dustpelt. While her sister was calm and patient, Squirrelpaw was independent, brave, and fiercely passionate, which often got her into trouble. She followed Brambleclaw on the journey to the sun-drown place, where the two grew close. When the Clans arrived at their new home by the lake, she was given her warrior name, Squirrelflight. She became mates with Brambleclaw, much to her close friend Ashfur's dismay. Unbeknownst to the rest of the Clan, Leafpool gave birth to Crowfeather's kits, and Squirrelflight protected her sister by raising the kits as her own. She and Brambleclaw raised Lionblaze, Jayfeather, and Hollyleaf; however, after the truth was revealed, Brambleclaw was furious about being lied to, and the two broke up. Squirrelflight also mentored Foxleap and Rosepetal. Finally, I was annoyed about all of Hollyleaf's previously mentioned actions at the end. I couldn't like her, and she is or was one of the protagonists. Demoted to Extra: Brambleclaw, Squirrelflight, Hawkfrost, Tawnypelt, Stormfur, and Crowfeather among others all play a much less important role in this arc. Also, Cinderheart in the last two books. Lionblaze: Lionblaze, originally Lionkit and then Lionpaw, is a golden tabby tom, and the brother of Jayfeather and Hollyleaf. He is a warrior in ThunderClan. Lionblaze is especially talented in fighting skills and invincible against anyone he fights and, not knowing the Dark Forest's intentions, had received training from the spirits of deceased former antagonists and Dark Forest warriors Tigerstar and Hawkfrost. Meanwhile, at ThunderClan camp, Hollyleaf too realizes that her mother is Leafpool when she learns that Leafpool had also returned to camp with Squirrelflight the day Hollyleaf and her littermates were born. When confronted by Hollyleaf, Leafpool reveals to Hollyleaf that she knows that Hollyleaf killed Ashfur, having recognized the tuft of fur found in Ashfur's claws.

No Antagonist: The first two books, The Sight and Dark River, don't have any villains, although Tigerstar and Hawkfrost do show up and hang out around Lionblaze. The Apprentice's Quest • Thunder and Shadow • Shattered Sky • Darkest Night • River of Fire • The Raging Storm Leafpool, I know that I am putting Hollypaw in safe paws. I pray that StarClan gives your apprentice all the strength and wisdom she will need. Firestar's Quest • Bluestar's Prophecy • SkyClan's Destiny • Crookedstar's Promise • Yellowfang's Secret • Tallstar's Revenge • Bramblestar's Storm • Moth Flight's Vision • Hawkwing's Journey • Tigerheart's Shadow • Crowfeather's Trial • Squirrelflight's Hope • Graystripe's Vow • Leopardstar's Honor • Onestar's Confession • Riverstar's Home • Ivypool's Heart • Super Edition 18 It's kind of weird, because when she dies, neither Lion nor Jay are sad, or grieving, or anguished, or even a tiny bit distraught! They're just sort of like, “oh.” And then, “now the prophecy won't work. Too bad.” I mean, WHAT?!? Their sister just DIED! Even if she's a raving lunatic, she's still your sister! You should feel SOME grief that she died! It's not realistic. Outcast was published in French as Exil by Univers Poche on 18 October 2012, in German as Verbannt by Beltz & Gelberg on 28 January 2013, and in Japanese in October 2012. Outcast was released in Chinese in 2009, along with a trading card featuring Lionpaw.

The Fourth Apprentice • Fading Echoes • Night Whispers • Sign of the Moon • The Forgotten Warrior • The Last Hope I never understood why there was a need for the three to have magic powers, as it didn't feel like it really added anything other than maybe Jayfeather's ability or the reveal of Hollyleaf not having a power. Sol as a main antagonist was a great idea, though he ended up being one of the most annoying characters in the whole series for me. The cats travelling to the tribe again surely wasn't the best part of the series, though at least offered a different setting and some character development for Crowfeather and Breezepelt.

Provides examples of:

The Sight opens with a prologue set near the conclusion of Firestar's Quest: Firestar is told a prophecy that "There will be three, kin of your kin, who hold the power of the stars in their paws". The remainder of the novel then takes place several months following the events of Sunset, and centres around Firestar's grandchildren. Hollypaw is training to become ThunderClan's medicine cat, while her brothers Lionpaw and Jaypaw are training to become warriors. Jaypaw is born congenitally blind and is trained by Brightheart, a ThunderClan warrior who herself has only has one eye following an injury; however, Jaypaw is frustrated that others see his blindness as a weakness.

Scar along her right flank running from her chest to the top of her hind leg gained during The Great Battle in Eclipse. [38] I, Firestar, leader of ThunderClan, call upon my warrior ancestors to look down on these three apprentices. They have trained hard to understand the ways of your noble code, and I commend them to you as warriors in their turn. Hollypaw, Lionpaw, and Cinderpaw, do you promise to uphold the warrior code and protect and defend this Clan, even at the cost of your lives? Hollypaw, Lionpaw, and Cinderpaw receive their warrior names; Hollyleaf, Lionblaze and Cinderheart. [40]All in all, this was a bit above average Warriors book with plot elements we already know from the series: random travels, random deaths that serve no higher purpose and family’s arguing. Especially the plot around Sol felt like the plot around Brokenstar in season 1 aka all leaders are angry with ThunderClan because they took in some cats and the other Clans are threatening them. The other clans were overreacting to be honest, but oh well. Then by the power of StarClan, I give you your warrior name. Hollypaw, from this moment you will be known as Hollyleaf. StarClan honors your thoughtfulness and loyalty. Okay, I seriously, actually think that Holly has literally gone mentally insane. First she kills Ashfur, then she lets everyone at the gathering know about Leafpool's secret (which is what she wanted to stop Ashfur from doing when she killed him! Dude! Wth?!?), then she kills HERSELF! She definitely lost her mind. It's kind of a shame – she used to be so sweet, and have so much potential! This is just a minor note, but I didn't think the title made sense, this one or the last. The Sight refers to Jaypaw's sight, Dark River obviously the river, Outcast Stormfur and Brook's being outcast, and Eclipse the eclipse. All real things. But Long Shadows just seems to mean that the truth is hidden, and Sunrise that they are finally ready to begin using their power. ThunderClan's deputy is a loyal and passionate cat, who feels—and loves—deeply, sometimes letting her heart rule her head. But no cat fights harder than she does to protect her Clanmates and kin.
