Using a wet/dry vacuum, we found it simple enough to remove the valve cover, attach the hose, and replace the cover. It took about 15 seconds to compress the bag, but we felt the end of the bag could have benefited from more compression, so we gave it another 10 seconds of sealing time but didn’t see a significant change in size. It was very, very slow at removing air. I didn't conduct the same test, because I gave up due to how slow it is. However, it was probably the same speed as the 2 USB powered cables I tested, now that I realize how slow they are as well. It was about the same. I may try the test again in the future if I decide I want a battery powered pump.
