Ana Huang made her a little inconsistent in the middle of the book, but that's not our girl's fault! Blame Ana Huang. Bridgett and Rhys are the pure definition of love, the way they had me giggling, blushing and running is unreal😩 I was hooked from the first second I began reading, the tension, the chemistry, the secrecy it was all just so good. This was my first time reading a forbidden love trope and I'm in love.

The fact she made videos on her tiktok saying “well it’s my books i don’t care and if you don’t like men degrading women you shouldn’t read it” but WHY ARE YOU WRITING IT?! look i'll be honest after i read this scene it seemed so similar to nicoelena ksdjksds like hello nico burned down a gas station for elena and also shot her fiance... i see the danielle lori influence ana ☕Love it when authors tease you with their next book’s characters. I have a few guesses on what tropes their book could have. A self-professed travel enthusiast, she loves incorporating beautiful destinations into her stories and will never say no to a good chai latte.

stella has been neglected by her parents because they seem to value academic qualifications over creativity, which means not only are they unsupportive of stella but also make her feel inadequate because she hasn't achieved what her sister and parents themselves have (this one truly hit home because my daddy issues stem from the fact that my father cares more about a piece of paper - aka my grades over me but that's a story for another time sksksk). IT’S HERE! I’ve been sitting on this cover for a while, and I’m so happy I can finally share it with the world. i lowkey missed the girl gang vibes here, if we had more of that it would've perhaps helped bridget form an actual personality. and the suspense element was also much better in the first book because there was actually some action. the suspense (can we even call it that?) in this was so badly done compared to the first book. i think i appreciate ava and alex's story more in that aspect because we actually see it unfold and, like i said, there was actually some action. not only that, but right from the beginning, we're thrown into this "suspenseful" act so we go through the book wondering what's happening (even if you know what it was). with this, there was none of it for me.

Twisted Lies is a steamy, medium to slow burn fake dating romance. It is the fourth and final book in the Twisted series but can be read as a standalone. The politics was also ridiculous but didn't bother me too much. I'm not a fan of politics in general and if I were, I wouldn't be reading Twisted Games, I would read a book on the royal family or whatever. Yeah... this was giving the most heart aching slow burn, i lost my shit. and when the characters finally gave in, i was sent into full orbit. if there’s one thing i love it’s a broken man being brought down to his knees because of a woman. slayyyystella being a curly haired girl who takes proper care of her hair 😍 (i'm also naturally curly with a healthy serving of FRIZZ) and it was so refreshing to see her talk about the maintenance of her hair 😭 like this is the representation EYE am looking for 🧍🏽‍♀️ Christian is (not) jealous of a stuffed animal that stella’s followers say would be a better cuddle buddy (on an insta poll)
