About this deal

I'm not convinced that I can tell how this is wholly different from the EDP. I know I am know I am not thinking that I would be disappointed if I had requested this but had been bought the EDP instead. Its the same with Ombre Leather. At the heart of the fragrance is tantalizing Indian kulfi—an accord inspired by the ancient royal concoction prepared for 16th century Mughal emperors. This milky creation, which traditionally consists of Himalayan snow combined with hints of pistachio, is delivered unexpectedly into the core of the fragrance via lentisque resinoid, which is chosen for its crisp & cool, yet lactonic effect. An array of floral notes—rose absolute, jasmine accord and orange flower—radiate like rare gems on virgin snow. This heart gives Noir Extreme its exceedingly desirable, yet tantalizingly unknowable, attractiveness.

I am grappling with getting a bottle of the Parfum because I already have the EDP. That all gold bottle is alluring, along with the performance of the fragrance - it projects and lasts longer on me than the EDP. That's not to say the performance of the EDP is poor, because I get at least 10 hours from it.An amber-drenched, woodyfragrance with a tantalizing, delectable heart, Noir Extreme dares to make a more extravagant gesture by pushing noir's themes of refinement and seductiveness to their edges. Every aspect of the composition is intensified to capture the totality of a man's impeccable outer expression and his alluring inner nature. Tom Ford in his very own glorious way..Smells somewhat similar to regular Noir Extreme- with the addition of salty oily cardamom, Neroli is felt immediately and still Kulfi gourmet just more perfumey oily and stronger!

It’s the Bruce Wayne of fragrances — classic and refined in presentation with a dark, heroic and mysterious alter ego. Eau de Scent There is no power. It smells like a scent that has the potential to be very powerful. The truth is that the projection is limited from the get-go. Longevity is ok, but only as a skin scent. This bottle you buy for yourself, not for the audience. And what a pity that is. They should reformulate this. The composition opens with a blend of fresh citruses and warm spicy notes. There are mandarin oil, neroli, saffron, cardamom and nutmeg at the beginning. Its heart contains accord of Indian kulfi dessert, traditionally made of Himalayan snow and pistachio, transmitted with mastic accord. A bouquet of rose absolute, jasmine and orange blossom is also placed in the heart. Hot amber in the base is subtly balanced with woody accords of sandalwood and milky- sweet vanilla. The Scents: Noir Extreme and Noir Extreme Parfum both hero the amber note for its sensuality and the Indian Kulfi Accord for its nutty sweetness. But to me, I find original Noir Extreme less spicy and more gourmand. Whereas Noir Extreme Parfum spices the whole thing up with fiery ginger. Noir Extreme Parfum also has tonka bean, which, unbeknown to many, has addictive, creamy, chocolate-like qualities. If you thought Noir Extreme wasn’t enough for you, the Parfum will be. To me, this opens up in a spicy way and there's a bit of citrus in the opening that adds a certain kind of richness to the spiciness. Good, bad and ugly. This is probably the best scent I ever smelled. A sweet and seductive super gourmand EDP that is male oriented. Delicious. However the performance is really bad. The ultimate compliment getter that no one will ever be able to complement on.

Noir Extreme is not a loud scent. From my testing, I get about 4+ hours of modest projection from the skin, and it stays on my skin for 12+ hours in total. It does leave a very addictive scent trail too, don’t be surprised if people ask what you’re wearing when you pass them. Occasions and Versatility An intensification of the original Noir Extreme scent, Noir Extreme Parfum breathes a heightened concentration of spicy cardamom, spiked with the warmth of Shimoga ginger and the rich sensuality of tonka bean and guaiacwood. ” Vanilla is one of my favorite notes, and I love the way they both do vanilla; dark, sophisticated and anchored by leather. A hefty dose of leather was the main addition to the Parfum and the most notable difference between it and the EDP. Cardamom is one of my other favorite notes and it's been amped up in the Parfum compared to the EDP. The sweetness in this fragrance is mature, sexy and mysterious. Noir Extreme Parfum almost has like a smoky aspect to it that makes it kind of dirty and rugged, almost like a cigarette except it smells really good. I almost gave this one up in a swap and I’m so glad I didn’t. It’s sweet and absolutely in the gourmand category, which is why I almost did swap it.. I shy away from that genre a lot of times. But the spice in this makes it so likable, it’s not just vanilla and fluffy softness… to me it’s more unique than I gave it credit for at first. I did like it at first, don’t get me wrong, I just didn’t fully know what I had right away either. The other notes in this really do come out, it’s not simply a one dominate note fragrance. Before I bought this, I tried it at a Sephora. Like many of their testers, the fragrance lost some of its power and I only got to smell the drydown. The drydown is vanilla and leather, and I was happy enough to buy a fresh bottle to get the whole scent profile. Noir Extreme Parfum lastest around 12 hours on my skin, and hours later, I could still smell it in my hair when I went to bed. When I sprayed my wool jumper (as I knew I wouldn’t wash it as frequently) I could still smell it a week later. Interestingly, La Nuit opens with a very striking cardamom note that immediately hits me in Noir Extreme Parfum’s opening also. So I will compare the two openings and how they diverge.
