The sea figures are especially fascinating. There were a couple of real laugh-out-loud moments in it, despite the seriousness of the tale itself. On the positive side, the story is suspenseful, well-constructed, and easy to follow - and I was very curious to find out what happened and why. I read this one over a couple of hot sunny (heat wave) evenings in the garden and really enjoyed the drama. The Ex Wife is a rollercoaster of a psychological thriller. It was exciting, thrilling and kept me guessing.Sally and Amanda incorporated a very important subject IVF into the storyline. I found it very interesting. At the halfway point, the story takes a turn and is then told primarily from the detectives POV as they investigate Norah's brutal murder. They think they have the suspect in their crosshairs when they are thrown a curveball and all bets are off. Everything points to Alice. The weapon, the motive, even the opportunity. Alice had a secret to protect at all costs. But is she really guilty? Kudos to Jess Ryder for writing this gripping psychological thriller that I just couldn't put down! Highly Recommend

We know SOMETHING happened that led to a life on the run, but getting there is the fun part. I really enjoyed this one by Jess Ryder, A gripping psychological thriller that kept me guessing and a great summer / beach read.

It’s an utterly absorbing and addictive tale of psychological suspense that will grab your attention from the very beginning.Natasha is a university graduate, but allows her husband to COMPLETELY control the money; she has no joint account with him and doesn't even know how much he makes. Really?? The story is told from alternating points of view and while this can work well in mysteries, I think in this book it made the story too choppy, too difficult to get your feet under the table of figuring out the key characters and main story. Of course everyone has secrets, and Alice will do whatever she can to protect her big secret which has to do with the paternity of their daughter, Cassie. In a tale that is layer upon layer of secrets, lies and betrayal...and ultimately revenge, THE EX WIFE is an intense and addictive read from start to finish...until the disappointing end which I thought was something of a letdown, all things considered. But one thing is for certain...it will keep you guessing.
