About this deal

Prescriptions must be written on an Authority Prescription Form, and the approval number must be noted on the prescription. Pharmacists cannot dispense the item as a pharmaceutical benefit unless it has been approved by Medicare Australia (indicated by the presence of the approval number). Pros: gentle for daily use, non irritating, low fragrance, Australian made, no chemicals, low priced,

Authority to prescribe an Authority medicine is granted for specific indications and/or for certain patient circumstances. Authority may be obtained by telephone to Medicare Australia (known as "phone approval") or in writing from an authorised delegate of the Minister for Health. Some PBS medications are restricted and require prior approval from Medicare before a doctor is able to prescribe them on the PBS. This prior approval to prescribe grants the doctor the Authority to prescribe the desired medicine and have it funded under the PBS. Recommendation: This exfoliating scrub is mild and effective to suit anyone, makes and females, to keep the skin feeling soft and natural. Perfect for anyone and everyone! It has quite a few natural ingredients and is paraben free, and free from other nasties. So no need to worry about polluting the environment with microbeads. Plus it is also Australian and super affordable. The scrub comes in aplastic squeeze tube. The texture is soft and creamy, and the scent is a very soft and subtle mix of woody and vanilla. I love the gentle scent of this scrub.

This is an exfoliating scrub that's meant to be used once or twice a week to help get rid of the excess build up that regular cleansing doesn't get rid of. (It's not meant to be used as a cleanser itself, which is why some are finding it doesn't remove everything sufficiently. It's an extra, not sole, product.) I use both physical and chemical exfoliators, and while some argue that chemical types are more gentle, I find a good physical one does a better job for my skin, depending on how it is. When I use this scrub once or so a week my skin feels really soft, refreshed and revitalised and it helps clear up any blemishes I have. Sukin have previously invested in different types of projects including wind energy – creating clean energy from wind generators in China through Carbon Reduction Institute, in a solar farm in India. This initiative reduces energy poverty in one of the world’s fastest growing nations, creates local employment during construction and displaces coal fired power and also reef aid which is aiming to help to stop sediment at its source and improve water quality in the great barrier reef. My combination skin can get quite oily so when I feel like the chemical exfoliants aren't doing enough, I go for this. I use it in the shower as it can get quite messy. The granules are actually quite large compared to most other scrubs, reminding me of the St Ives that people say you shouldn't use on your face any more. I wonder if this one compares with the harshness of the nut shells (St Ives is apricot). Either way, I don't find it to be too harsh at all. In fact, I would like more effect from it, which is why I have given 4 stars. Its suitable for normal and even dry skin because of how creamy and gentle it is. It is not a heavy duty scrub so you can use it most days if needed.

Drug Interactions

Some drugs may have Authority Required (Streamlined) status which does not require an explicit approval from Medicare, instead the doctor can use the Authority code found in the published Schedule for a given drug/indication.
