There's still a lot of support for avoiding parabens following the better safe than sorry route. If you do we completely support you! Something I was most concerned about was applying concealer because I’ve had experienced sunscreen clumping up and making my makeup look cakier than it did before. However, applying the concealer to my face looked and felt no different from using an ordinary primer! Also, because of the pearl-like look of this sunscreen, my skin looked glowy as well! If you've ever used a skincare, makeup or beauty product that's made your skin look and feel smoother tempoarily - it's likely contained Silicone. They are a popular class of ingredients found in cosmetics due to their smooth, soft, easy-to-spread and smooth properties that help creates an artificial layer/barrier on top of skin or hair (commonly found in conditioners). This product has many great features! It can be used both on the face and body and is known to be “super waterproof!” The product can be easily washed off the skin using regular soap. It has many great ingredients for the skin, such as hyaluronic acid, Vitamin C, and “Pure Nuance Complex” (passion fruit, hydrolyzed prune, and chestnut rose extract).
If not, don't worry about it - they do have had one of the longest safety records as preservatives!The EU Allergen Free label is for the 26 ingredients identified by the EU SCCS and products will be only flagged if a suspected ingredient is on it's ingredient list. It is possible for cosmetics to contain one of the suspect ingredients without it appearing on the ingredient list due to it not reaching the concentration threshold to disclose it and cosmetic manufacturers choice to not disclose it. Anyway, it doesn't matter if it reflects or absorbs, Titanium Dioxide is a pretty awesome sunscreen agent for two main reasons: it gives a nice broad spectrum coverage and it's highly stable. Its protection is very good between 290 - 350 nm (UVB and UVA II range), and less goodat 350-400 nm (UVA I) range. Regular sized Titanium Dioxide also has a great safetyprofile, it's non-irritating and is pretty much free from any health concerns (like estrogenic effect worries with some chemical filters). The main concernwith nanoparticles is that they are so tiny that they are absorbedinto the skin more than we want them (ideally sunscreen should remain on the surface of the skin). The scent goes away within a minute so I don’t bother. But if you are very sensitive to fragrances then I suggest you stay steer clear of this product. My Experience: Parabens are a large group of preservatives which are used to prevent bacteria growing in cosmetic formulations.
