About this deal

During the Ruinstorm, a warp storm that made navigation and communication across the Imperium almost impossible, Sanguinius used the Pharos’ psychic beacon to find his way to Macragge. Later Sanguinius, Roboute Guilliman, and Lion El’Jonson thinking that Terra is lost, and the Imperium destroyed made the Imperium Secundus with Sanguinius as the emperor. Sanguinius is the Great Angel, most beloved of all the primarchs, his mighty exploits celebrated throughout the entire Imperium as the Crusade expands into the void. And yet the origins of his Legion are shrouded in mystery and rumour, his unique physical form is an enigma, and his perilous home world remains off-limits to all but his own secretive people. When a discredited remembrancer arrives with the expeditionary fleets to chronicle the primarch’s deeds, he has to work hard to uncover the truth behind the legends. As he accompanies the Ninth Legion to war against the enemies of the Emperor, he eventually learns much more than he expected to, not just about the subjects of his study, but also the nature of the Imperium itself. [1] Sources Spear of Telesto – the spear tip is shaped like an elongated tear, and the center is hollowed in the shape of a tear. The spear can vaporize, via an energy blast, anyone who doesn’t have the blood of Sanguinius. The Emperor had long ago refined the techniques of genetic manipulation of the Human genome, and He set these skills to work once again, forging twenty extraordinary transhuman super-warriors, each an embodiment of an aspect of war as His generals and consuls in the coming campaign within His secret gene-laboratory hidden beneath the Himalazian (Himalayan) Mountains.

Sanguinius might be the most powerful primarch in Warhammer 40k. With such power as flight and seeing the future it is not hard to believe. But even if he has all this power he does not become a Mary Sue because he is written well. He encounters difficulties and obstacles. And even his win does not come easily. To banish his brother Angron, he had to allow himself to be impaled and only then after Angron let his guard down he managed to banish him. The Nighthaunt, Orruk Warclans and Stormcast Eternals Battleforces as well as the Lumineth Realm-lords: Scinari Enlightener have been delayed in Australia and New Zealand. The Lumineth Realm-lords Scinari Enlightener is also delayed in Japan. The Imperium was forever changed in the wake of Horus' defeat. No longer would the beneficent Emperor take a martial role in Mankind's defence, for His shattered body was now sustained only by the life-giving machineries of the Golden Throne. The reconstruction of His empire and the final rout of the Traitor forces would now fall to the surviving Primarchs, men such as Rogal Dorn of the Imperial Fists and Roboute Guilliman of the Ultramarines. Sanguinius, the very image of an angel, has chosen to obscure the origins of his Legion, and prevents outsiders from setting foot on his home world. A remembrancer attempts to discover why. The Prince of Decay has reaped a heavy toll on the Galaspar system, his brutality astounding even the Imperium. French readers can soon discover how two of his brothers attempt to hold him accountable for his excessive actions in Mortarion: The Pale King .

Dante’s Inferno

Sanguinius led The Blood against the numerically superior Mutant hordes of Baal. While among his people he was known for his loyalty and amicability, in battle he is known for his total and unstoppable wrath. Reunion Sanguinius had a vision that compelled him to go to Davin, the world where Horus had fallen. Inside the temple, The Great Angel managed to activate the world itself. Many Warp storms roared above daemons appearing everywhere. A portal opened that swallowed up Sanguinius. In the portal, The Great Angel foresaw that he manages to kill Lorgar and save the Imperium. The Emperor named him the Imperator Regis. But this vision was an illusion. The Daemon Madail created this illusion to corrupt the Angel. The Lion and Guilliman could not enter the portal, daemons kept them at bay. Sanguinius was trapped in the portal until his Herald, Sanguinor, arrived. Sanguinor allowed the Angel to escape. After this the Blood Angels to the planet Murder and we get to see this pretty big battle. The bolter porn is fun here, but again it is just bolter porn against aliens. Horus and Sanguinius meet and this meeting is quite fun. The remembrancer gets to talk with Qruze who tells him a bit about The Revenant Legion.

Just hours after sealing the Eternity Gate, a still-bleeding Sanguinius was summoned by the Emperor Himself to the Golden Throne, learning that Horus had lowered the Void Shields of the Vengeful Spirit and his Father intended to launch a teleportation assault aboard the vessel. Much to Sanguinius' dismay, the Emperor informed him that he would not join in the assault but rather stay behind to command the remaining loyalist forces on Terra. Sanguinius later confronted The Emperor as He was fitting on His armor for battle, stating that he was refusing to stay behind. The Emperor was unmoved, until Sanguinius finally revealed his prophetic visions of his death at Horus' hand. To the Emperor's surprise, Sanguinius stated he did not seek death at Horus' hands but rather sought to change his fate by challenging it head-on. This persuaded the Emperor to change His mind and allow Sanguinius to take part in the assault, for the Master of Mankind had spent many lifetimes attempting to defy fate the same way. [27a] Just as Sanguinius was about to accept the bargain, Blood Angels Apothecary Meros stepped forward in his place, becoming the Red Angel, and causing Sanguinius to swear vengeance on Horus and all who follow him (the story is told in James Swallow’s 2012 novel Fear To Tread). The delaying action of Guilliman and The Lion allowed Sanguinius and the Blood Angels to reach Terra. He met with Rogal Dorn, Leman Russ, Jaghatai Khan, and Malcador the Sigillite to discuss their upcoming strategy. Sanguinius urged Russ to remain on Terra for the battle instead of leaving to face Horus directly, though not as much as Dorn. Sanguinius' arrival was publicized greatly by loyalist media, his angelic figure being used as propaganda to boost the morale of the failing Imperial war effort. [2x] Three Legions of Marines stand to defend you, sire. All of us will unflinchingly place ourselves between you and the war’s desolation. We are the greatest humans ever born – we are the flame of Humanity where the rest of the galaxy is just the spark. In centuries of warfare, against the vileness of the alien, the lies of the heretic, the foulness of the mutant, I have never known fear – but your silence terrifies me. — during the Battle for Terra. [Needs Citation] In the teleportation, the party was split. Sanguinius was the first to find Horus. He was unable to change Horus and they duel. Sanguinius died but it is said that he made and breach in his opponent’s armor. A breach that the Emperor would use to win the fight.

I encourage everyone to read it and go into it with a different state of mind (if you prefer action and battle scenes) it is a unique novel, and shows the same Chris Wright depth many of us have came to expect and love from him. Even if you do like faster-paced action, but like Sanguinius, this is a novel for you as it shows, at the end of the day that he is brutal, just like his brothers - in some ways. It’s interesting seeing his duality on display in a more direct sense. Moonsilver Blade – is a sword that is highly effective against Daemons. It is said that Rogal Dorn gifted it to Sanguinius and it is made from the same alloy as the Phalanx. A character you've never heard of is killed by another character you never heard of to prevent a book you've never heard of from being published. Somewhat confusingly you are following the story of the Primarch through the eyes of one of the remembrancers. But then, somewhere in the middle you get the realization that the book is not about Sanguinius per se. It’s about the legend of the Great Angel, about how they have to hide and keep in secret the Red Thirst. I like how you get to see Sanguinius through the eyes of another person who is somewhat objective, and not shy from uncomfortable truth both in-universe and the for us the fans. You see the action of the Primarch, who can be merciful and just like we used to see him in other books, but also quite merciless and not shy from stuff that would make him a villain in any other universe.

Who is Sanguinius?

An ancient Remembrancer sketch from Carpinius' Speculum Historiale of the Primarch Sanguinius during the Great Crusade. Those who remained upon Baal Secundus were entrusted with the duty of defending Mankind's birthright upon the planet, and ensuring that future generations of warriors were taught the Imperial Truth and learned of the Primarch who had once walked amongst them and restored their hope. So it is that even now, with millennia passed since those fateful days, the Blood Angels take all their Aspirants from the moons of Baal. So our narrator is a Rembrancer. A investigative novelist who specializes in writing incredibly brutal hit-pieces on the Legions and risk censure and execution every time. He openly said "Hey, don't you think the Night Lords are kinda messed up?" and "The Space Wolves seem like a bunch of drunk assholes, right?". That kinda guy. So he's hired by another Rembrancer to, no joke, write a glowing propaganda piece on how great and amazing and perfect the Blood Angels and the Angel are. Accounts from this time differ greatly, but all concur that at Azkaellon's counsel the survivors of the IX Legion formed a small number of Chapters, commanded by the champions of the Blood Angels. Each took on the traditions and rites of their Legion as the basis for their new brotherhood and adopted a fitting name. Thus began a time of rebuilding for the Sons of Sanguinius, who separated to establish themselves as autonomous organisations. Notably, even in this time of disarray, the vengeful Chapter Master Nassir Amit, known by his peers as the "Flesh Tearer," led his eponymous Chapter on a blood-soaked crusade to seek out and annihilate any vestige of the Traitor Legions. Their actions, even in the early years of the Flesh Tearers' existence, laid the foundations upon which they would be known, and judged, ever after.
