Grob geht Percival in die Fierce-Richtung, ist aber eigenständig. Man bekommt einen frischen Duft mit einer total gefälligen Würze. Nicht zu stark, sondern sehr gut abgestimmt zu der Frische. Dazu etwas frischen Lavendel und dezente Früchte sorgen für einen facettenreichen Vibe. Auch die schöne Koriander-Würze wie bei meinem geliebten Dior Homme Eau ist hier aktiv. Für mich absolut keine Störfaktoren und von vorne bis hinten harmonisch. Zum Dry-Down wird er natürlich sanfter und etwas holziger. Since it has snowed again in our Tyrol in the last few days, although we are heading towards spring and this fact has annoyed me a bit, I was very happy when I saw the blue sky and the sun this morning. During this period, King Louis XV's love for fine fragrances flowered into a “golden age” for men's perfume.The memories of that time, in connection with Percival, have put a grin on my face today and it doesn't matter if he could be a crowdpleaser or not. Before I buy a diluted NIghtflight version in the www, I'll probably go for Percival, even if only for a few moments. S'il n'est pas particulièrement audacieux, Percival est en revanche construit de manière exemplaire, avec un flair savant et une rondeur admirable. Même s'il demeure en territoire relativement familier, il vous impressionnera avec des trouvailles étonnantes en matière d'accents qui viennent bonifier un ensemble de facture connue, mais jamais aussi bien exécuté. Percival can be worn by any age group and goes down well in the office, as well as on a date or even in all other walks of life. It is perfect for a signature scent.

This cologne is a star in the versatility category! I’d feel comfortable saying you could wear this with confidence on any occasion if you wanted. I certainly have, and haven’t regretted it! Percival hält bei mir sehr gut und auch die Sillage ist angenehm. Immer wieder erhascht man über den Tag verteilt mal wieder eine kleine Wolke und wird erinnert, dass er noch präsent ist und seine Arbeit verrichtet.

Percival ist da für mich ein prima Kompromiss. Trotz dem, dass es ein Nischenduft ist, ist er verdammt massentauglich und erinnert an vielen Punkten an andere Düfte - ist für mich jedoch trotz allem ein eigenständiger Duft. Am allermeisten erinnert er mich wohl an mein altes (und leider leeres) Fierce von Abercrombie & Fitch, welches ich, bevor ich zu sammeln und horten begann, ach so sehr liebte. Besonders, weil alle "neuen" Formulierungen nicht mehr viel mit dem alten zu tun haben und vor allem nichtmal mehr 2 Stunden halten. Est-ce un parfum révolutionnaire? Pas du tout! C'est un parfum de facture relativement conventionnelle en matière de fraîcheur et de netteté, qui n'est pas sans rappeler certaines formules courantes dans la lignée des fragrances "bleues", fort populaires chez les designers qui les vendent pour généralement beaucoup moins cher que Percival. Founded in 2009, their fragrances are inspired by the “golden age of perfumery”– the 18th Century French era. Think luxury, splendor, decadence, and fragrance recipes inspired by the court of King Louis XV. Percival is probably THE most underrated and unjustly little noticed fragrance ever. Sure, 8.0 on average is not bad, but does that do justice to the quality of Percival? Not even close. The last rating here was a month ago, which clearly shows that one of the most brilliant PdM fragrances does not get the attention it deserves.

Wer was absolut neues und außergewöhnliches sucht ist bei Percival eher an der falschen Adresse. Wahrscheinlich auch aufgrund der leichten Ähnlichkeiten zu Fierce. Wer einen alltagstauglichen Duft sucht der den Nerv der Masse trifft kann diesen bedenkenlos bestellen. Auch wenn er grob in die A&F-Richtung geht ist dieser Percival schon eigenständig und ein Kauf lohnt sich. Akaster is a decadent fragrance with strong projection. With a rich oud base note, this is a powerful scent. There's a reason that oud is known by many as “liquid gold.” Due to its unmatched aromatic profile, oud is one of the most coveted perfume ingredients in the world.Percival is not a 0-8-15 fragrance for me, as it is sometimes portrayed. It just does what it is supposed to do. It's fresh, spicy, aromatic, fruity, and has enough depth to be worn year round, although I prefer it from spring to late fall. I was a big fan of Joop Nightflight in the 90's until he was finally, years later, reformulated on a splash of his self-destructed. All attempts to get hold of an original version failed miserably. It was practically my signature scent over several years (yes, now it's out and I'm proud of it). Described by Parfum de Marly as “ light, forceful and fresh“, Sedley is a woody fragrance that begins with a bang of mint and sweet citrus. This is a mature, yet fresh scent that you can wear all summer long.

Percival holds extraordinarily well, 8-9 hours go without problems, for a so-called freshness fragrance already times ne announcement, the Sillage is above average. I associate a niche snob with someone who finds per se niche fragrances better than mainstream fragrances, then my judgement would be rather no. I like to be blinded by the beautiful exterior, yes that happens. But this is absolutely human for me and you can discover it in every area of life..women, cars, clothes..so why not in perfumes too?! Für mich einer der gefälligsten frischen Nischendüfte. Man kann mit dem nichts falsch machen. Für die richtig ausgefallenden Nischen-Freaks eher zu gewöhnlich. Könnte mir gut vorstellen dass dieser bei den Damen gut ankommt, ähnlich wie früher Fierce. Sollte man sich wenn aber mit Rabatt holen. Eine perfekte Wahl für Leute, die einen gefälligen Allround-Duft suchen. Auch wenn der Kommentar in einem Blog wohl besser aufgehoben gewesen wäre, wollte ich ihn trotzdem hier platzieren. I just like its fruity freshness, somehow aquatic and yet somehow not, herb-spicy and slightly woody from the heart note.Actually I don't want to go to such a discussion level, because I can't do much with the drawers (think) niche/mainstream, but the statement in a statement about this scent has made me think.
