About this deal

Quality and Recommended Ingredients: The piercing solution is made of two ingredients. Pharmaceutical grade water, and sodium chloride. Pharmaceutical grade water means the water used has no added substances and meets all the required testing for purified water. Sodium chloride is more commonly known as salt. And that is it, there is no added chemicals, or substances that may cause harm to the body. The reason it is difficult to home make salt solution though (despite being able to make and keep it sterile) is because it is incredibly hard to mix the right amount of each product to be beneficial. Too much salt can dry out the skin and cause flakiness and irritation. Too much water can cause excessive moisture, which can cause those pesky red and wet looking irritation bumps. Manufacturers have all the right equipment to ensure the product is perfect. If you start to see signs of an infection or your piercing is having difficulties healing, you should increase your daily saline baths. This will help clean the inside of your piercing and clear away contaminants. If you’re concerned, please see a doctor. Don’t do a saline bath in lieu of medical attention. When cleaning, ensure any balls or attachments on your jewellery are tightened as they can come loose easily due to the natural movement of the area. Hot dry compresses do work, but its difficult to make a hot dry compress at home without potentially contaminating your gauze or paper (microwaves are not clean environments, most people would put tissue on a plate to warm it up). Also this method is a two step process, as you must first clean your piercing to make sure there are no crusties present which would hurt the piercing during compressing.

NeilCleanse’s fine mist nozzle was the first of its kind, paving the way for easier aftercare practices. e lazier with their aftercare practices. While we always recommend stringent healing habits, we know that life gets in the way, and some people struggle with discipline. If this is you, then saline sprays offer an easy aftercare solution that only takes a moment of your time. Apply as needed. Consult a healthcare professional for continued wound care management and for use on children younger than 2 years of age. Available in two sizes: The Neilmed saline fine mist is available in both 75mm and 177ml. The 75ml version was released in 2016, which allowed for clients to clean their piercings effectively while travelling without breaking their regime or changing products. One universal truth about piercing aftercare is that you must keep your piercing clean and many piercers recommend using saline solutions designed specifically for piercing aftercare. However, even here you can see some conflicting information about when to use a saline spray for surface cleaning versus a saline soak. However, some piercings, like ear piercings, don’t always require saline baths throughout the healing process. After a few weeks, you can simply opt to spray the piercing 2 – 3 times daily to keep it clean. Saline baths are important to clear your piercing from harmful bacteria and dead skin cells that can cause infection. In the beginning, it’s a good idea to do a soak around two times a day for any piercing type. Antispasmodic effect – Chamomile contains flavonoids and coumarins which relax muscles. Essentially chamomile can reduce muscle spasms in smooth muscle, and is therefore an effective treatment for diarrhoea and has been shown to be effective at treating colic in children. Aftercare Please always consult your piercer or tattoo artist for their recommended aftercare procedure & products Saline sprays are optimal for spot cleaning while on-the-go, and for cleaning practices in the later part of your healing.

If you plan on getting pregnant, then you should wait to get your navel pierced. Similarly, if you anticipate going through an extreme body weight change, a new piercing might be better saved for later. To dispense, aim the nozzle at the affected area and spray from a distance of 2 to 4 inches, or as is comfortable. Avoid playing or fiddling with the piercing using dirty fingers. This will likely increase healing time, cause it to swell, and/or cause an infection.Over the years, there have been hundreds of different piercing aftercare products, from sprays to soaps, to natural herbal products, homemade salt solutions, lotions and potions. You name it, it’s been done. So why do we find Neilmed so important? Surely they’re not the only sterile saline solution on the market? PH Friendly: At Rogue we offer and perform many intimate piercings for our clients. This means we needed to be able to offer a product that was safe to use in those intimate places, especially four our clients with Vulvas (which are much more sensitive to products). Neilmed saline solution is very safe to spray onto any new piercing, including those in much more hidden places. Saline solution is used in many ways, from cleaning wounds (like your piercing), treating dehydration, or clearing out nasal passages. (Keep in mind that even though saline solution has many uses, saline products vary, so if you have a saline solution product for a specific issue, consult a medical professional before using it for something else. We’ll talk more about this later.) Spray the solution onto a piece of clean lint free kitchen roll and ‘soak’ the piercing for a couple of minutes. Then use a clean cotton bud dipped in the solution to remove any ‘crusty’ bits of secretion that should now be nice and soft thanks to the soak.
