About this deal

And another 5-star review says, “My teenage son uses this when he has breakouts. He puts it on before he goes to bed and by the morning his breakout areas look 100% better. A must have product!” The brand’s best selling face wash is the Enzyme Cleansing Gel, a lightweight refreshing cleanser that helps to remove excess oil and surface impurities. Like most cleansers, the formula contains surfactants as key ingredients. A surfactant molecule contains one end that is hydrophilic (attracted to water) and one end that is lipophilic (attracted to oil). This allows surfactants to attract and suspend oils, dirt, and other impurities that have accumulated on the skin and wash them away.

Mario Badescu’s Enzyme Cleansing Gel definitely met my expectations for a really good product in general, especially considering the price point.

What are you looking for?

Botanical Facial Gel: This is the ultimate cleanser for oily skin with excessive shine. Grapefruit extract revitalizes and energizes while cleansing the face of all makeup and oil. Bottom Line: Mario Badescu Drying Cream is a spot treatment for acne that uses ingredients like zinc oxide, sulfur, and ichthammol to dry out blemishes, but keep in mind this product contains parabens and fragrance. Vitamin C and antioxidants contained in grapefruit extract benefit the skin by protecting from environmental damage, such as pollution, and sun damage (preventative anti-aging and free radical damage protection) I have very dry sensitive skin, my face was flaky even though I exfoliate regularly and moisturize daily. I recently turned thirty and my same routine was not working anymore. Honestly the moisturizer plus my makeup would just look oily and cakey with little flakes of skin peeling up. I felt like old peeling wallpaper and it was embarrassing to have dandruff in my eyebrows.

We’re all seeking a daily go-to cleanser that won’t break the bank that will actually work in solving problems and helping our skin at the same time, so I wanted to see if Mario Badescu’s new Enzyme Cleanser could beat my favorite sensitive skin daily cleanser for its price point. Cucumber Cream Soap: Similar to the Cream Soap, but with cucumber extract to help soothe & cool sensitive skin types. This clay-based mask includes skin-brightening ingredients like kojic acid, licorice root, and mulberry extract. All of these ingredients work in unique ways to reduce the formation of dark spots while also promoting more even skin tone. Overall, this works quite well, especially for sensitive skin, as a basic daily cleanser, and is extremely soothing. It clears up acne quite well, better than a lot of cleansers marketed as anti-acne washes available. Mario Badescu is a mid-priced brand; the products are slightly more than your average drugstore product, yet they are far more affordable than luxury brands like Drunk Elephant and SK-II .Similar to the Drying Lotion, the highest concentration ingredient in this formula is isopropyl alcohol. While this type of alcohol can cause skin dryness and even damage when used long term, the Buffering Lotion is a rinse-off product so it should be okay if you need to get rid of bumps right away. If you want to add a product to your skin care kit that is designed to both heal and conceal acne, then you may want to consider Mario Badescu Drying Cream as a viable option. This cream is formulated to stop the growth of pimples and heal them while its texture helps to hide their appearance. Mario Badescu Drying Cream is one of several acne products in this brand’s lineup. The brand was founded by the Romanian-born Badescu when he began selling his formulations to the customers in his salon in the late 1960s. Today, the company sells a wide range of skin care products, from cleansers to toners and astringents to acne care products, such as Mario Badescu Drying Cream. Need help on figuring out your skin type? Take our skincare questionnaire for product recommendations or visit our salon for a skincare consultation - and facial while you're at it!) the Cleanser Breakdown: The Mario Badescu Botanical Exfoliating Scrub was designed to exfoliate and buff away dead skin cells while also infusing the skin with powerful and beneficial active ingredients. The formula behind this product was designed to invigorate the skin without causing any inflammation or irritation. As a physical exfoliant, this product utilizes finely ground Ecuadorian Ivory Palm seeds in a gel base to deliver even, thorough exfoliation. In addition to the exfoliating power of this product, aloe vera, coconut, ginger, ginko and green tea extracts work together to prevent damage from environmental aggressors, relieve dehydrated skin, calm inflammation and create a youthful looking glow to the skin. With all this said, it’s worth noting that the exfoliating particles should be applied to the skin very gently, as there is a possibility for microtears. Ground particles such as seeds, shells, salt or sugar, have jagged edges, which if rubbed too vigorously on the skin, can cause more harm than good. Because of this, we recommend using light pressure and circular motions to apply this product to the skin. Vitamin C is a potent antioxidant that helps to protect your skin from environmental free radical damage.Furthermore,research suggests that when vitamin C is applied to the skin, it significantly reverses aging-related structural changes by influencing collagen and elastin synthesis.

Even with sensitive and acne-prone skin, I did not experience any allergy, irritation or breakouts from using this cleanser, if anything, there was a decrease in the amount of breakouts I experienced during use Bottom Line: A refreshing gel cleanser that uses surfactants and papaya fruit extract to clean and exfoliate the skin. Just as the name suggests, vitamin C is the key ingredient in Mario Badescu Vitamin C Serum. In fact, the formula includes three forms of vitamin C — ascorbic acid, tetrahexyldecyl ascorbate, and 3-O-ethyl ascorbic acid — for enhanced stability. Overall, this is a great daily cleanser for a good price considering the ingredients and benefits with everyday use. With that said, the main letdown with this product was the need for a toner a feeling of the skin not being fully cleansed without one (especially with the use of heavy makeup or eye makeup). With that said, if you are comfortable with twice daily washes, you can still eliminate the toning step. And it is extremely gentle and safe for those with all skin types. You’ll also find supporting ingredients in this formula, such as hydrating humectants, skin-softening emollients, and soothing botanical extracts like cucumber and ginseng.Helps with oil control for those with oily/combination complexions but does not strip the skin for those who are dry or leave any feelings of pulling or tightness My only issue with this product, and the reason it did not ultimately win out over my favorite daily go to cleanser, is most would need to use a daily toner with this product, especially if you use makeup (eye makeup and mascara in particular). Then, after a while, I started developing texture on my skin; Comedone-like bumps in certain areas of my forehead, chin & jawline, as well as a few other areas of my face. I also began breaking out a lot more, the more I used it, (& I’ve used it A LOT). I’ve been trying to figure out exactly what’s been causing it; my diet is fairly healthy, I drink enough water, I use other decent skincare products, in fact, a lot of the products that I use seem to help clear my skin a little bit. But over time of using this spray, my skin has just gotten increasingly worse, no matter what else I’ve used. Others who tried Mario Badescu Drying Lotion didn’t notice any change whatsoever. For example, one review says, “I used this product after I wash my face and use my toner before going to bed, sadly it did not make any changes for me, I tried using it for a week.” Our Verdict Mario Badescu price is considered moderate compared to other brands. Some of the product prices include;

this ingredient is featured in the Mario Badescu lip balm. It is a common ingredient in lip balms due to its hydrating power as per the Brazilian Journal of Pharmaceutical Sciences. Vitamin E These brightening ingredients are formulated into a base of kaolin, a type of natural clay that helps to absorb excess oil and unclog pores. It also helps to gently exfoliate your skin as you wash the mask off. In our opinion, Mario Badescu products deliver value for money, but take a look at other brands that don’t require you to sacrifice your precious money.It was soothing, made my skin feel supple and soft after use, and brightened my complexion up. It also restored tone and texture and left my skin feeling hydrated rather than dry or tight. Now onto the not-so-good ingredients you’ll find in these products. Unfortunately, this brand uses parabens and fragrance in nearly all of their products. So why is this a problem? Let’s take a look at the research.
