at the beach or swimming pool, at bikini car washes, at the movies, the lingerie football league, Hooters, etc. etc. So While every movie I’ve discussed till now is overtly (dramatically) gay, the lesbianism in this one is more implied (booo). However, it is a really beautiful film and it stars my wife Léa Seydoux of Blue is the Warmest Color fame. Agathe-Sidonie (Seydoux) is the official reader to Queen Marie Antoinette (Diane Kruger) during the last weeks leading up to her execution. She completely worships her Queen, staring at her longingly and remaining loyal to her, even till end. She is particularly invested in the “friendship” between Antoinette and La Duchess Gabrielle de Polignac (Virginie Ledoyen). At the time it was rumored the two had a romantic and sexual relationship. The costumes and sets are gorgeous so while the film is a little slow moving, you’ll never be left wanting as far as styling and visuals.

The women, experiencing stirrings of feminist thought without a vocabulary to express them as well as a desire for each other, find intellectual and emotional support on afternoons when their husbands are away.To know that I could finally come clean to my worrisome friends felt liberating beyond belief. I didn’t care about sacrificing my youth to move to outer London with a swarm of forty-somethings. All I wanted was to be with her full-time, and for it to be out in the open that we were together. Good...but there is one thing...I would want to call you by girls name...would you be you happy with that”.

Over 10 years later, same-sex rape on college campuses is just starting to be quantified on a national level. Haven, an online sexual assault and awareness program that logs sexual assaults directly from students, works with self-reported data from over 800 colleges and universities. Haven had never compiled a report on undergraduate women who have been assaulted by women, but teamed up with MarieClaire.com to reveal new information: While the number of reported sexual assaults by women was low compared to assaults overall (only about 2.5 percent), the most striking difference came down to the likelihood of survivors to report the incident: 30 percent of women assaulted by another woman told no one, compared to 25 of women who didn't report an assault by a man. THE Christmas holidays ended, and Ascott left for London. It was the greatest household change the Misses Leaf had known for years, and they missed him sorely. Ascott was not exactly a lovable boy, and yet, after the fashion of womankind, his aunts were both fond and proud of him; fond, in their childless old maidenhood, of any sort of nephew, and proud, unconsciously, that the said nephew was a big fellow, who could look over all their heads, besides being handsome and pleasant mannered, and though not clever enough to set the Thames on fire, still sufficiently bright to make them hope that in his future the family star might again rise. At first, the sex was good," says Sarah. "But she always wanted more than what I could give. One day she came home with a strap-on; if I loved her, she said, I would allow her to use it." Sarah wasn't interested. "It was just something that I didn't like and didn't want," she says. She declined for months, her partner repeatedly pressuring her, until one night, Sarah's partner assaulted her with the strap-on. "Even though I was crying the whole time, she never stopped," Sarah recalls. And in her own household this gift was most displayed. No centre of a brilliant, admiring circle could be more charming, more witty, more irresistibly amusing than was Hilary sitting by the kitchen fire, with the cat on her knee, between her two sisters, and the school-boy Ascott Leaf, their nephew--which four individuals, the cat being not the least important of them, constituted the family.Good...you see all my working life as a Headmistress I have instilled the principle of discipline and correction in all my work…..do you understand what I mean”

Seeing how clever Miss Hilary was, and how much as a schoolmistress she would need all the education she could get, he had offered to teach her along with her nephew; and she and Johanna were only too thankful for the advantage. But during the teaching he had also taught her another thing, which neither had contemplated at the time--to respect him with her whole soul, and to love him with her whole heart.I responded in a flurry of words saying that I was interested in the advertised position of cleaner. ….I explained that as a student I was looking for some part time work. I felt like a lot of the world outside of Fall River was changing, but in that Calvinist community, she was really smart. She had a lot to say and no one to say it to," Sevigny said. "That's where we wanted to build the relationship with Bridget for her -- that Bridget was finally an outlet. It felt like she deserved that love and an escape from her horrid existence." of her life, stamped upon brain and heart, and soul with a vividness that no other impressions were strong enough to efface, and retained there with a tenacity that no vicissitudes of time, or place, or fortunes had power to alter, Hilary would--yes, I think she would--have quietly kept looking on. She would have accepted her lot, such as it was, with its shine and shade, its joy and its anguish; it came to her without her seeking, as most of the solemn things in life do; and whatever it brought with it, it could have come from no other source than that from which all high, and holy, and pure loves ever must come--the will and permission of GOD. A: A member of our safety staff will arrive at your home or office location. I’m still holding a grudge about how film doesn’t show half of the relationship that Celie (Whoopi Goldberg) and Shug (Margaret Avery) share in Alice Walker’s Pulitzer winning novel, seeing as how Walker is an out and proud queer woman. But I can’t deny this movie’s greatness. If you don’t cry when Sofia (Oprah) can’t spend ONE DAY with her family because the horrible white woman she is legally forced to serve drags her away you have absolutely no soul. Whoopi Goldberg, Margaret Avery, and Oprah were all nominated for Academy Awards for their roles in this film and when you watch it you’ll understand why. If you haven’t read the book, just remember Shug and Celie are totally in love and the “Sister” song Shug sings to Celie will give you all the warm fuzzy feelings.
