About this deal

Hamsters need a safe and comfortable place to live. A hamster cage should be at least 12 inches by 18 inches and have plenty of space for your pet to run and play. The cage should be lined with bedding material, such as wood shavings or paper-based bedding. Hamsters also need hiding places, such as tunnels or igloos, to feel secure. Health Hamsters also need access to natural light to maintain their circadian rhythm. Placing the cage near a window or providing a full-spectrum light can help keep the hamster healthy and happy. Campbell’s Russian dwarf hamsters have agouti, white, cinnamon, or sandy brown fur colors. They also can store food as large as sunflower seeds in their cheek pouches. The main concern is that a hamster cage is large enough for your pet – after all, hamster breeds need lots of space to run and play. According to experts, you shouldn't go below a cage with a floorspace of 24” x 12” x 12” but don't take that as something to aim for. Always try to go much bigger if you can, especially if you have a larger Syrian hamster. A smaller cage is only really going to be suitable for dwarf hamsters. It is not recommended that you let your hamster out of its cage to run around the house or outside. Not only are they too small but they are notorious chewers and may chew on wires, carpet and base boards.

So you've seen what goes into the decision-making process but what do the experts suggest? Well, as we explained above, size is everything. “Your chosen hamster cage should be large,” says veterinarian Dr Joanna Woodnutt MRCVS.“The best ones are over a meter in length and over half a meter in width.” Ensure that the entire area is secure so that the hamsters cannot escape or injure themselves by chewing on wires or other objects inside their enclosure. A steep plastic ridged walkway takes your hamster to the upper floor. This a flat area that includes the essential extras. There is a food dish, water bottle, hideaway and a 5.5-inch exercise wheel. The wheel is neatly integrated into the floor and easily accessible via the base. If you want to upgrade to a bigger wheel there is plenty of room. To keep a hamster in a cage you have to be absolutely sure that their environment is a welcoming one. The cage will need to be large and offer plenty of opportunity for a hamster to exercise and remain mentally stimulated. Alas, this isn't always the case.Hamsters naturally burrow underground in tunnels stretching yards long. They feel most secure with plenty of places to hide. Replicate elements of their wild habitat in captivity. Hamsters like to rearrange their environment, so provide ample enrichment items to keep them occupied. Avoid wire cage floors that can catch toes or feet. Mice

Solar panels use light from the sun to generate electricity in a similar way that wind turbines use wind power. Solar panels can also be used to heat water and provide hot water for your home. ensuring you adhere to good hygiene standards and consider wearing gloves should you need to handle your hamster or clean their accommodation In addition to providing adequate housing space for your house-powering or pet-keeping needs, it’s also important to ensure proper nutrition and mental stimulation through regular playtime activities and enrichment items like puzzles or treat balls. A hiding place or nesting place should be available for your hamster. Most pet stores provide plastic houses and huts for hamsters. Do not provide any additional material in the house besides the bedding. Basically if a hamster has a large house or multi roomed house, they will almost always move their toilet area inside the house, away from the nest - so the house needs to be able to fit a litter tray in. If they have a smaller house they will usually choose a corner of the cage as a toilet area (but may be much happier in a larger house!).Deep cleaning: Deep cleaning should be done once a month or as needed. This involves cleaning the cage with a pet-safe disinfectant to kill any bacteria or germs that may be present. Rinse the cage thoroughly with water and allow it to dry completely before adding bedding and accessories. The next question is how much electricity can a hamster generate? Unfortunately, the answer is not very much. In fact, one hamster running on its wheel for an hour can only generate about 0.03 watt-hours of electricity. Rodipet have recently changed their range of labyrinth houses but they are similar to the old ones. They also sell legs for their houses.
