Most printers have an open design, including the Ender 5 Plus, which can limit your options of materials to print with. The issue with an open design is that the ambient temperature around the print can be quite low. While this is fine when printing in PLA, PETG, and TPU, materials such as nylon, ABS, and ASA like having higher temperatures. This is where Creality’s enclosure comes in. Ender 5 Plus will auto bed level, which is a big plus and brings the machine that much closer to plug-and-play.
The picture is my BED_MESH_CALIBRATE results. N.B. This is after the printer has been off a bunch and stuff. You may have results that start with a 2 or something. But they’ll still all be super close together. These all metal extruder upgrades are more durable and robust, reducing the drag on the filament and stopping the filament from eroding away at the feeder arm on the extruder. They are also relatively cheap, which makes this an easy modification to opt for.

What we’re going to do is start heating the bed and do a BED_MESH_CALIBRATE whilst it’s heating so there’s no wasted time. Pairing your Ender 5 Plus with a Raspberry Pi SBC allows you to integrate remote monitoring and control of your printer via a program like OctoPrint. Thermal fuse and earth ground mounting locations – Additional threaded holes that provide a location for mounting a thermal fuse and earth grounding lead. There are two main benefits to this tempered glass build surface: better adhesion and resistance to warping. Creality has a specific texture and coating on the glass surface, which provides a better grip for print material to grab onto (compared to the smooth PEI sheets). Having a tempered glass build plate ensures that the print surface is flat, thereby reducing the issues you are likely to encounter.
Mainboard upgrade: Reduces motor noise, increases processing power, adds features like linear advance. If you prefer using a different slicer, you are free to do it. The open-source system of the Ender 5 makes it compatible with any type of free or paid slicing software currently available, including Simplify3D. Different software might not offer pre-set profiles for the Creality Ender-5. In those cases, you can manually add the data to create a custom profile. Immediately, with no other settings changes, the whole bed print adhered perfectly. I didn't even need to re-measure with the BL-touch. If you plan to chiefly use your Ender 5 Plus to print high-temperature filaments such as PC, Nylon, and PETG, upgrading to an all-metal hot end is a popular upgrade.
Bed support: composed of two support arms, this add-on has been designed to increase the print bed stability, reducing the risk of shifts in long-time printing.
