Dairy butter is a type of fat that is made from milk or cream. It is commonly used in cooking, baking, and as a spread for bread or toast. This technique works best on smaller quantities of chocolate and it’s best to use on chocolate that’s been pre-crystalised. Since I got so many questions about how to make homemade dark chocolate in my other chocolate recipe I thought I’d take the time to dedicate a separate recipe here explaining exactly how to use it. It turns out that there is a difference between hot chocolate and hot cocoa. Hot cocoa is normally a mixture of milk (or water), cocoa powder and sugar, along with optional flavorings like vanilla, peppermint and spices like cinnamon. These fats may help form a protective layer on the skin, preventing moisture from escaping, and therefore stopping the skin from drying out. Despite being an active ingredient in many skin care products, there is little direct evidence that cocoa butter effectively improves skin health. It’s up to you! You can use more natural sweeteners like maple or honey, low carb/keto sweeteners like stevia or erythritol or even plain white caster sugar or powdered icing sugar if you prefer.

While the potency of a batch of infused fat can vary, typically a dose of a half teaspoon or full teaspoon per mug of hot cocoa should work great. Grind or break up the cannabis. Grinders break weed down to the same consistency and will save you time, but you can just as easily break up the weed with your hands.
