About this deal

Then, return to this cosy Pembrokeshire cottage to relax, and maybe even enjoy some alfresco dining in the lovely gardens. Everything seemed new and hardly used, and had everything you could possibly want. Very clean. Good location on the waterfront and having the enclosed garden as somewhere to sit in the sunshine overlooking the lake was a real bonus. A few nice pubs in walking distance, and in easy reach of Plymouth, South Hams, Dartmoor.

We are really pleased you enjoyed your stay in our 'little piece of heaven' we only wish we could spend more time there ourselves this year, but guess that leaves more weeks for everyone else to enjoy until we retire!Clarbeston Road is a small village with a pub serving this rural farming community, and with its own railway station, the village offers visitors the opportunity to visit other areas by train. The beautiful Llysyfran Reservoir close by is a delight for anglers, walkers and cyclists, or just for that perfect place to picnic on bright spring mornings, hazy summer afternoons and brisk autumnal days. Continue onto Haverfordwest, where you can tour the Haverfordwest Town Museum, visit Haverfordwest Priory, test out your swing at the excellent golf club, wander through the Priory Saltings Nature Reserve, and dine at The George’s, Taj Mahal, and Friars Vaults. Further afield, you will find Tenby, home to a magnificent castle, a beautiful beach, fishing trips, Tenby Museum & Art Gallery, National Trust – Tudor Merchant’s House, and a variety of welcoming pubs, restaurants and cafes, including The Cove, Hope & Anchor, and Salty’s Beach Bar & Restaurant. This wonderful part of Wales has so much to offer, with an array of sandy beaches, historic castles, old mills, country parks, museums, Oakwood Theme Park, a Dinosaur Park and boat trips to the quiet islands of Skomer and Skokholm to name but a few. A holiday any time of year will leave you with a longing to return, and with some very happy memories. Cross the threshold and head straight into the light and airy open-plan living space to unwind in front of the warming glow of the woodburning stove and Smart TV while the designated chef of the group gets acquainted with the fully-equipped kitchen. Built of stone around 1690 and Grade II listed, it is full of character and charm, with its lake views and waterside garden, it’s the ultimate escape for a couple seeking to explore the stunning coast of Devon. Unleash your inner historian and take a trip to the impressive Brough Castle, stemming from the 1200’s and later restored by Lady Anne Clifford in the 17th century, where you can also visit St Michael’s Parish Church near to the castle to learn more about the region or indulge in an ice cream from the Brough Castle Ice Cream Parlour. We are really pleased you had an enjoyable stay in our holiday cottage despite finding the stairs a bit of a challenge in the mornings. It is a very old Grade II listed cottage with steep winding stairs and we do have a warning on the cottage details that they aren't suitable for anyone with mobility issues, apologies if you missed that, we will speak to Sykes to see if we can make the warning any more prominent. Now that the renovation works to our neighbouring cottage have been completed, all our guests are loving the front garden and the amazing views, not to mention the newly installed pontoon with direct access onto the lake (when the tide is in) Thank you. My friend and I had a lovely break in Clover cottage where we were made so welcome and at home by Matt and Elaine, the owners." My elderly parents thought a shower mat in one of the showers would be a good idea, as the shower floors were a bit slippy. Welcome basket was a lovely touch. Everything was of the standard expected from a high spec cottage. Services - Mains water, drainage and electricity are connected to the property. Heating is by fuel oil via a condensing boiler. The cottage was very dirty especially the first floor which was carpeted and stained with a lot of cob webs."

Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them. Thank you for your review, we agree that the location of the cottage is great for outdoor pursuits! North Uist is an amazing place for a holiday, not least because you are still in the UK but get the sense of being on another planet! It truly is life on the edge with the influence of the north Atlantic only yards away. North Uist is joined by causeway to many other Hebridean islands, including Berneray, Benbecula, South Uist and Eriskay. Harris & Lewis are only a short ferry ride away. We found the space to be clean, cozy and had everything we needed. The beds were not the most comfortable but ok. The cottage is in an amazing location and if you like walking, cycling for any outdoor pursuit this is a great location.
