About this deal

On average, the Bissell SteamShot produces 10 to 12 minutes of steam on a single charge. However, the steamer needs a short rest to rebuild the pressure and reheat the water once every 3 minutes. With just a simple trigger on the handle controlling when steam is ejected, the Bissell Steam Shot gives is very simple to use. While it does come with a small mop attachment, it doesn’t really compare to the cleaning power of a dedicated steam mop and is only really to be used for small spills and stains, rather than whole floors. For those, you’d definitely be better off turning to the likes of the Vileda Steam Mop. The tool roster is comprehensive. You can use the mounting cone bare for a direct jet of steam, or push on any one of the supplied attachments. The angled concentrator nozzle should be good for getting into awkward places, the grouting tools feature a row of very stiff bristles, and the scraper tool jets steam both sides of its 3cm wide blade.

Loosen Stubborn Dirt & Grime. Use Steam Shot to soften and remove stubborn dirt, grime, dry, hardened food, and other household soil from hard surfaces. As with all steam-based grouting cleaners some elbow grease is required with the brush, plus you’ll end up with a lot of dirty water run-off. While not the fastest steam cleaner for grout available, the Steam Shot certainly did the job.

The Bissell Steam Shot is a capable and cheap little handheld steam cleaner with small jobs. With plenty of accessories included in the box, the Steam Shot easily handled the varied cleaning situations I threw at it. The only downside is that it’s not the most ergonomic design with the steam trigger and hose both frustrating at times. Note number one: do not overfill. We simply put the unit under that tap and filled it up. That resulted in the top-valve dribbling water as it heated up and the nozzle shooting hot water rather than steam for the first minute or so. As stated in the manual (which we didn’t read first, naturally), you need to use the measuring cup provided to hit the max fill of 360ml or 6.6oz as the jug is labelled. Regarding the faucet rings, I used the angled nozzle and scrub brush attachment to test the area. The scrub brush attachment performed marvelously, effortlessly loosening up gunk with minimal effort or scrubbing on my part. It did require a few minutes to thoroughly clean, and I had to refill the tank a second time since the steam only lasts about five to 10 minutes when the trigger is continuously held down. Nevertheless, it was completely worthwhile, considering my sink has finally received the proper care and attention it deserves. The Bissell SteamShot is a compact steamer and heats up in 30 seconds. The on-demand trigger lets you direct steam to any surface or area with a simple press of a button. Equipped with 10 different attachments, the Bissell SteamShot works on a variety of different surfaces and materials. 3. How long does it take Bissell SteamShot to heat up? The Bissell SteamShot typically reaches temperatures of around 230° F. Because it is a handheld unit, the heat and pressure won’t be as high as conventional steam cleaners. Both the Bissell SteamShot and SteamShot Deluxe come with 1 accessory nozzle, 3 detail brush tools, 1 flat scraping tool, 1 angle concentrator tool, and 1 grout brush tool. However, only the SteamShot Deluxe comes with 1 extension hose, 1 fabric steamer, and 1 window squeegee tool.

Experts in home cleaning, Bissell’s Steam Shot is an impressive hand-held steam cleaner that lets you target specific areas, cleaning and sanitising with just the aid of water – no separate chemicals needed. We had success with the concentrator nozzle on grime around the taps and the grouting tool worked well in the shower. After several weeks in use, we had become used to the Steam Shot’s quirks: fill only with the jug, frequently pause for the steam to regenerate, and make sure the tools are pushed firmly home. As such, it’s an effective little steam cleaner. The tools are varied and, while the brushes were starting to look a little battle-weary, the squeegee tool and fabric steamer continued to impress. Why buy the Bissell Steam Shot 2635E? To get the Bissell Steam Shot up and running, I first removed the water tank nozzle, poured in 6.6 ounces of water with the included measuring cup, plugged it in and let the steamer heat up for about one minute. For the area around the toilet seat, I didn’t use any of the fancy attachments because it really wasn’t necessary. The original nozzle is exactly what the spot called for to loosen up the crud. The Bissell Steam Shot comes with eight nozzle attachments ideal for reaching every single nook and cranny in your home. That area where the toilet seat attaches? You won’t believe what’s trapped around it. The buttons around the washer and dryer? The Steam Shot loosens up visible and hidden grime for good. All it takes is a swipe of a cleaning cloth to get surfaces looking sparkly and fresh. You can use tap water in your Bissell SteamShot, although distilled water is recommended and preferred. Using tap water will shorten the life of the steamer, although how much it will be shortened depends upon the mineral content of your local tap water.
