After having a shower or a bath you should pat dry your skin (do not rub your skin with a towel) and re-apply your moisturiser. The active ingredient is an alcoholic extract of coal tar, which relieves itching and is an anti-scaling agent which helps breakdown keratin. This medicine should not be used if you are allergic to one or any of its ingredients. Please inform your doctor or pharmacist if you have previously experienced such an allergy. If you get any side effects, talk to your doctor, pharmacist or nurse. This includes any possible side effects not listed in the leaflet enclosed with the product. For psoriasis, seborrhoeic dermatitis, or scaling and itching such as associated with eczema, use the shampoo every two to three days, or as directed by your doctor.

May cause sensitivity to sunlight. Avoid using sunlamps and spending a long time inthe sun during use. Use enough shampoo so that the lather is sufficient to cover your scalp, hair and adjacent areas, if also affected. If you use more Alphosyl 2 in 1 Shampoo than recommended or use more often tl anrecommended, you may be more likely toget skin irritation or skin sensitivity to sunlight.

Coal tar has been used in skin conditions for hundreds of years, but it is still not fully understood how it works, mainly because it is made up of so many different compounds. The side effects listed above may not include all of the side effects reported by the medicine's manufacturer. Can stain skin and clothes and in rare instances has caused temporary changes to haircolour. Skin stains will wear off after treatment is stopped. Alphosyl 2 in 1 is a herbal fragrance shampoo for the treatment of Psoriasis, Seborrhoeic dermatitis, Eczema, Itching scalp, and Dandruff.For dandruff, you should use the shampoo once or twice a week as necessary, or as directed by your doctor.
