About this deal

The word percent is typically used with a number (example: 10 percent) while percentage is typically not used with a number (example: what percentage of the marbles are red?). An exception is percentage points (example: 2 percentage points). Generally available in 7.500 to 7.650 Metre lengths in Grade 43; however other lengths and grades are available. For your information Kg/m refers to the Kilograms per Metre of the section, as an example a 4.200 Metre length of 40 x 40 x 3mm (SHS) Square Steel Hollow Section (3.45 Kg/m) would weigh (4.2 x 3.45) 14.49 Kg’s Total. While it’s easy when you’re working with a figure that’s exactly 100, what about other numbers? In the example, the whole number is 40. We know that 50% or half of 40 is 20, and 25% or ¼ of 40 is 10. But how do we calculate this? Here’s the basic percent formula you can use: During the reign of the Emperor Augustus (23 BCE – 14 CE), the Imperial government began to charge a tax on auctions. Called centesima rerum venalium, it cost 100th of the value of the goods sold. This tax helped pay for the retirement stipends of the Roman legionary army.

The fraction form of 0.375 is 375/1000. Let’s simplify this fraction. The common factor of the two numbers is 5. With this in mind, how simple can this fraction go? When you do find percentages expressed in the hundreds, it will sound alarmist. It likely is for a good reason. Anything that grows twice its size in a short span is worth paying attention to. If, for instance, your sales grew by 400% last year, you must re-examine how you did it. Meanwhile, if your debts grew by 400%, you must re-evaluate your financial strategy. Common Percentage Mistakes Whenever possible, use clear terms to avoid ambiguity. In our example, it’s better to say that the rate changed by 5 percentage points, rather than by 5%.Generally available in 7.500 to 7.650 Metre lengths in Grade 43; however other lengths and grades are available. For your information Kg/m refers to the Kilograms per Metre of the section, as an example a 4.200 Metre length of 48.3 OD x 3.2mm (CHS) Circular Steel Hollow Section (3.56 Kg/m) would weigh (4.2 x 3.56) 14.952 Kg's Total. 21.3 OD x 3.2mm (CHS) Circular Steel Hollow Section (1.43 Kg/m) While you sold 600% more units, your annual growth was 500%. This represents the sales above those needed to match the previous year’s numbers. Bear your starting and ending points in mind when calculating percentage growth. Other measurements such as the PV and RMS are important too. With these measurements, the lower the number the better as it shows less curvature on the lens. The flatter an optical lens, the better it will perform. The PV rating (Peak To Valley) is a measurement from the highest point (Peak) to the lowest point (Valley). From this we get the RMS (Root, Mean, Square). This is a similar figure to the PV and measured exactly the same way. The RMS is basically an average height difference from the PV so again, the lower the better. As you can see form the example below, we measured an RMS of just 0.027 wave which is a very good value.

An amount per 100 that refers to a portion of a whole (in a general way) typically without using a specific number. At Rother Valley Optics, one thing we pride ourselves on is customer service and quality of our equipment. When we test your telescope, we will ensure that it is of the highest quality otherwise, we will reject the scope under our strict quality control and test another model for your peace of mind. One of the main values to look at when testing a refractor is the Strehl ratio. The higher this number, the higher quality lens you have. At Rother Valley Optics, we will guarantee the highest possible Strehl ratio for your telescope. We will aim to provide 0.95 Strehl or higher on Takahashi, RVO Horizon, William Optics and many more! Generally, the higher the Strehl ratio, the lower the Astigmatism and Coma meaning a better image quality from your instrument. Taken together, those who prefer other brands or no brands in particular comprise 39.48% of the sample. In most cases, the total percentage will tally to exactly 100%. In some statistical situations, the percentages may fall short or exceed 100%. When the tally falls short, this is often because of rounding. Overshooting, meanwhile, is often the result of people identifying with more than one option. RHS in cold and hot finish. Mild Steel Rectangular and Square hollow section, also called box section. Can be supplied in various grades including BS EN 10025 S355 and S275. Proportions matter when you’re making chemical formulations. To achieve the desired results, you must use the appropriate proportions of ingredients. To create a bigger batch, you must double the ingredients according to their proportion. Knowing these percentages will help you create a consistent product.Metal Supplies™ have been supplying the UK building and construction industry with all types of structural steel for many years, including a wide range of Mild Steel Steel Hollow Sections: square, rectangular and circular. On the surface, it’s easy to think that the second year had a higher percentage of growth. After all, the price increase of the second year (20) is bigger than the first’s (15). But think again. In the first year, the price grew by 100%.
