About this deal

Optical construction consists of 16 elements in 14 groups, with four ED elements, one aspherical element and one SR lens element.

This is the very worst I could get. This is the direct disc of the sun shining into the lens while exposing for the dark underside of a palm tree. You'll never see this unless you go way out of your way as I did here deliberately to do this. My biggest gripe is the length of this lens which had the benefit of being designed for a mirrorless system with a very short flange distance of only 16mm. Still it is as long as the older DSLR design (with adapter). Sony shows that you can built an optically very good 20mm f1.8 which is much more compact: Their mirrorless system with the Sony 20mm lens is 34mm shorter than the Nikon mirrorless combo. Have a look at the following comparison:In this review, I will provide a thorough analysis of the Nikon Z 85mm f/1.8 S lens, along with image samples and comparisons to other 85mm lenses on the market. NIKON Z 7 + NIKKOR Z 85mm f/1.8 S @ 85mm, ISO 200, 1/80, f/8.0 Lens Handling and Build The Nikon Z 50mm f/1.8 S is bigger, heaver and more expensive than any Nikon 50mm f/1.8 lens ever, but that's because it's also the most complex and highest-performance 50mm lens ever from Nikon. Nikon's using a 62mm thread since the rest of the lens is so big and so it takes the same size filter as other lenses. I tried even 39mm filters, which also work without vignetting if you adapt them carefully to this lens. Like I stated earlier, these boots have kept my feet dry and warm in cold / wet climates. There aren’t any drain holds on the side so water can’t get in that way. The materials are such that water literally slides down the side of the boot. They don’t absorb water easily at all.

Aside from effective protection, the LOWA Z8S C military boots in Coyote OP are fitted with LOWA Tactical Z Trac® soles for exceptional grip in all terrains. Fabric elements on the boot provide enhanced ventilation creating a highly breathable boot which performs as successfully in hot climates as it does in winter weather conditions. That’s one of Nikon’s difficulties with the new Z lineup: convincing buyers – many of whom already own excellent F-mount glass – that the S lineup doesn’t have your everyday f/1.8 lenses. And, as you can see from the specifications below, the 50mm f/1.8 S is more than an “everyday” lens in some important ways: Handling and Build Quality One of the biggest concerns I personally had when this lens was released was with the lens coma. With most ultra-wide angle lenses showing very pronounced field curvature and astigmatism, corner highlights often take very odd shapes, looking like a plus sign, a crossed banana, a butterfly, or just a big ugly blob. Here is how the Nikon Z 20mm f/1.8 S renders highlights in the extreme corners of the frame: Manual focus is very slow. Since it's completely electronic (the manual focus ring isn't connected to anything other than a digital encoder) I'm surprised we don't have a menu option for focus speed, or better, have adaptive manual focus speed that goes faster as we turn the ring faster. There are no color fringes as shot on Nikon cameras, which by default correct for any that may be there.
