Once you understand that the colours you add to your look impact on how good you feel (and look!), the impact of changing your hair colour is suddenly highlighted. So does changing your hair colour (whether that’s covering grey or not) affect the colours that best suit you, and how should you balance hair and clothing colours? This is a really excellent article on the shades of grey available on the UK market at the moment. I’ve spent the past four years searching for the perfect true greys that are neither green, blue or pink (it has become a bit of a sad obsession!) but I generally agree with Lauren’s comments. It's all about the right shade. Warmer tones on the grey scale create a different feel from blue-based shades of slate. Reply Namely, bright natural light makes it warmer gray towards yellow, while the pink tones are most noticeable in a shaded environment. Whilst grey is the arguably the most popular neutral in interior design today, 'greige,' a combination of grey and beige, is being favoured more and more for its capacity to warm up an all-over grey design scheme. Greige is really the best of both worlds, combining the cooler and more placid look of true grey with the warming nature of beige.
