In 1906, scientists introduced anti-meningococcal serum therapy as a treatment for meningitis. The antibodies for this serum were mostly derived from the blood of horses. That later changed to meningitis patients and people recovering from the disease. In 1930, Sara Branham introduced ‘sulphonamides’ as a treatment for meningitis, which proved to be more effective than antiserum against meningococcal bacteria. Our parties are suitable for both boys and girls. We have used numerous themes and are happy to adjust our playslists to suit your little one. Some of the themes we have worked with include; Dinosaurs, Fairies, Monsters, Prince and Princesses, High School Musical, Trolls, Circus, Jungle and many more. If your child has a favourite song, we will make sure we play it! Does your child Love Frozen? No problem, we're on it! We use lots of sensory props, disco lights, bubbles, musical instruments, hoops, pompoms, dance ribbons, puppets and more to keep our party guests entertained and engaged! One of our flagship events, the Tay Toddle Waddle is one of our favourite dates in the calendar. Nurseries, pre-schools or mum & toddler groups come together to enjoy a short walk to raise funds for Taylor Made Dreams. There are almost always some surprise guests that join their events.

In 1805, the first prominent meningitis epidemic occurred in Geneva, which was followed by similar outbreaks in Europe and the United States. Africa saw its first meningitis pandemic in 1840. As there was no treatment for meningitis, the fatality rate during these outbreaks was as high as 90% of the affected population. As the saying goes, there's no such thing as the wrong weather, just the wrong clothing...but we hope that making the date, time and weather flexible will encourage lots of waddlers to take part, with their nursery or childminder - or just you and your little one!

In 1768, a posthumous report by Sir Robert Whytt surfaced that showed the first description of tuberculous meningitis. However, it was not until the following century that a link was made between the pathogen, ‘Tubercle bacilli,’ was linked to tuberculosis. In the 1800s, the term ‘meningitis’ was introduced by French and English physicians, who combined the words ‘meninges’ and ‘itis.’ We'll send you a certificate and medal to award to your walkers and sponsorship forms to collect donations from proud friends and family. There will also be customisable posters and flyers to tell everyone about your event We offer children's dance parties for babies, toddlers and pre-schoolers. We bring all our Tappy Toes props and get the whole party moving. We promise it will be a party your little one will remember!

The Moomins’ home, Moominvalley, is a place of wonder and fun, populated by fairy-like, round creatures that resemble hippopotamuses, but enjoy human hobbies such as writing memoirs (Moomin papa), making jam (Moomin mama), and playing make-believe (Moomintroll and Snork Maiden). Their adventurous side comes out at all opportunities, stirred by friends Little My and Snufkin, or by mysterious intruders. We are a welcoming group of people and have a nice chat whilst walking. We welcome Mums, Dads, Grandparents,Carers,Toddlers and Babies.

This chocolate wonderland is the perfect read-aloud book, thanks to Dahl’s masterful use of the English language. Amid all the magic and invention is a wagging finger providing moral lessons on the perils of being greedy, or a brat or overly competitive – and that goes for the adult reader too. Thank goodness then for Willy Wonka, the man who really never grew up, and his band of oompa-loompahs who punish the bad, reward the good, then provide reason for it all through song. Our Birthday Parties are suitable from ages 1 to 5 years. We have specific party plans for each age: No child should grow up without The Lorax. They’ll never be the same when they’ve learned about the Swannee-swans, Humming fish, and Bar-ba-loots bears, their Truffula trees being cut by the mysterious and scruple-free Once-ler. While the environmental message of the book is even more urgent now than it was when The Lorax was first published in 1971, the story is just as entrancing, instructive – without preaching – and, above all, as hopeful as ever. A wonderful wise Lorax speaks for the trees, and for all the world’s children, who want to keep the future green. 4. My Big Shouting Day, by Rebecca Patterson In 1944, scientists introduced penicillin for meningitis treatment. In the late 20th century, Haemophilus vaccines became available to the public, and they helped significantly reduce the cases of meningitis caused by the pathogen of the same name. Make a multimedia presentation (using Powerpoint or similar software) that shows an image of something and the sound that it makes. Could your record the sounds yourself?
