About this deal

This is a different book about the war. It shows it was not only the Jewish people who suffered during the war. Annemarie’s family lost their eldest daughter, Lise, a few weeks before her wedding. Of course, it turns out this deal he made might not have been such a good idea after all… 12. The Count of Monte Cristo by Alexander Dumas The moral is that those who save up during the good times will get to enjoy the benefits when times are bad. 3. “White Wing: The Tale of the Doves and the Hunter” The more that you read, the more that you’ll know. The more that you know, the more places you’ll go.” — Dr. Seuss. At some points it has a little bit of difficult vocabulary. However, it is short and you won’t have too much trouble being able to finish it.

This classic fable (story) is about a very slow tortoise (turtle) and a speedy hare (rabbit). The tortoise challenges the hare to a race. The hare laughs at the idea that a tortoise could run faster than him, but the race ends with a surprising result. Cinderella” is a beloved story because it describes how a kind and hard-working person was able to get a happy ending. Even though Cinderella’s stepsisters treated her awfully, Cinderella herself remained gentle and humble. It goes to show that even though you may experience hardships, it’s important to stay kind, forgiving and mindful. 11. “Little Red Riding Hood” Adapted by the British Council This is another great story that teaches a lesson that’s written for kids but adults can enjoy, too. The story tells of a grasshopper who lounges around all summer while his friend the ant prepares for the winter. When winter comes, the two friends end up in very different situations! Eso me lleva a preguntar:At first, the trees die. Then the snakes, followed by the tropical fish. Then the class gets a puppy, and… well, you can see where things are going. Esperanza is not very happy because she had been dreaming of a different home, a bigger one. Their new house is old and small. The house is located in a busy Latino area of Chicago. In the new home, Esperanza feels like she has no time to be alone. She promises herself that one day she will leave and have her own home. This is a modern-day story about a little girl with a big secret she can’t tell anyone about. When her teacher finds out her secret, they work together to fix the issue. To find the perfect difficulty for you, start from the first book and move down through the list until you find a book that you can understand, but that still gives you a little challenge and has some words you don’t know. The story explores the conflicting range of the human emotions of grief and hope in a short span, and the impact it can have on a person’s mind and body. 31. We hear about her pain. She talks about her first kiss, people who lied to her and stole from her. Everything started with gossip. The gossip then grew and became out of control. The book follows each person’s story and the reason why she felt hurt, including her English teacher who didn’t take her seriously. 6. Peter Pan – J.M. Barrie Stories are all about going beyond reality, and these classics will not only improve your English reading but also open your mind to different worlds.

Meg and her brother meet a friend the next day. Calvin O’Keefe is a high school junior student. Together, the three of them go to visit an old haunted house which belongs to Mrs. Whatsit. While going there they meet Mrs. Whatsit’s friend, Mrs. Who. Mrs. Who is also very strange. Meg and Calvin begin to like each other. Charles suddenly announces that they should focus on finding their father who is lost somewhere in the universe. He then travels the world to help animals with his unique ability to speak their language. 2. The Red House Mystery by A.A. It’s told from the point of view of a soldier in the Civil War who’s actually running away from the battlefield. It uses many symbols and metaphors to discuss the important themes. And that’s just the beginning of the series of unfortunate events at the school in this short story, narrated by a teacher. The story is absurd (ridiculous to the point of being silly), even though the topic is serious. By the end, the kids start asking difficult questions about death that the adults don’t quite know how to answer. It’s an epistolary novel, which means it’s written completely in the form of letters, and the story of Dracula is told through other people’s points of view. They find out where Meg’s father is being kept. Charles tries to use his psychic (in his mind) powers to see where their dad is. Eventually they find their dad, but not without drama. Along the way, Meg learns to love. She uses this new love to help them escape. The Benefits of Reading English Books
