It was easier to grip than any other mini massage gun, arguably easier than any other massage gun of any size I had tried, and enabled you to add direct pressure to sore areas with much less friction than with the standard L-shaped massage gun. The companion app is also extremely helpful, as it’s full of guided routines for you to use. Once you pair your Mini 2 to the app, your speed setting will be automatically set to the optimal speed for each routine, and a force meter will indicate how much force you should apply. Color Options

The Theragun Mini is a great choice for percussive massage on-the-go

The Hypervolt Go 2 may be considered the natural alternative to the new mini 2 due to the rivalry between the two giant brands. This one has a more classic look – it looks more like the Bantam but larger. The new mini and Ekrin Bantam are true mini massagers. The Go 2 is bigger and heavier. The battery is decent on the Mini, with a two and a half hour life. I only needed to charge it once, and it lasted for an entire week’s worth of testing. Charging time was also decent — it took a little under an hour to power the Mini from a low charge to a full one. If your Mini is completely dead, expect a charge time of an hour and twenty minutes. Therabody came up with a great idea to make the entry-level model of its Theragun range accessible but not cheap, a fine line to walk indeed. Once you let go of the concept that percussion massagers are for athletes only, you will realise how convenient the Theragun Mini is. It’s Therabody’s least expensive massage gun, but it’s still pricey. If you’re sold on the brand but don’t want to spend more than a few hundred dollars on a tool for recovery, then this new gun is perfect.

Float the device across areas in need of treatment, gradually applying light to moderate pressure as needed. We like what we see. Everything feels premium, as expected. Big news! Therabody finally got rid of the big old wall charger even for a mini. We were pleased to discover that the new Mini 2 includes a USB-C charger, enhancing its usability.. The new 2 nd generation mini hasn’t changed, at least not as far as the design goes. In fact, you could easily mistake it for the mini 1.
