About this deal

We asked the consultants in our Clarity Coaching Program about their favorite consulting books, and we’ve listed those below.

Years ago author Bentley Little was dubbed “The horror poet laureate” by none other than Stephen King. No doubt Little is proud of that blurb — it's been reproduced on just about every book he's released since then. One can't help but wonder, though, if such lofty praise might in some way have a limiting effect on what an author writes. Little is nothing if not consistent, but so much so that he runs the risk of the perception that if you've read a few of his novels you've read them all. Stream It Or Skip It: ‘Leo’ on Netflix, in Which Adam Sandler Voices a Lizard Who's Also a Child Psychologist I had been procrastinating whether to work for another company or start something new. After reading his book, I was hooked and joined this group. Still struggling a bit but feel good about the future. Michael’s book was what I needed at the time.” Fortunately, Hunter is a ‘consultant’ for the CIA, tasked with taking care of the dirty, deniable jobs Uncle Sam can’t publicly admit to. If anyone can solve the puzzle in time to save those at risk, it’s Hunter. The ConsultantAs Mr. Patoff digs his fingers more deeply into CompWare, the number and types of incidents the employees overlook is staggering: coworkers dying in “accidents” or committing suicide; being framed for heinous crimes; being verbally and physically threatened or assaulted; and being monitored to the point that even bathroom breaks are recorded on video. And through it all most of them seem to shrug as if to say, “It's for the good of the company.” Little may be pushing his point a bit too much here — the herd mentality is a little too overboard to be believable even in this context. You’re focused on your offer, your sales, and your marketing…but what about your mindset? In this book, I share with you the mindsets and principles used by elite consultants that will help you overcome challenges, remove obstacles, and grow your consulting business. By improving your mental habits and thought patterns, you will improve your consulting business. I enjoyed this thriller. It could have been taken out of today's headlines. The plot is complex, but then so is the planning of terrorists and the work of government agents. I trust O'Connor has done his research in describing the lengths agents go to capture terrorists and prevent their murderous deeds. Joy Behar Was Totally Lost On 'The View' As Whoopi Goldberg Tried To Make An Argument About Men And Abortion: "What Is The Point?"

CompWare, a struggling software company, hires an outside consulting firm for advice on how to be more competitive and successful, and they get much more than they bargained for. Throughout the story, numerous characters failed to see the obvious or take action even when it was evident that Patoff was a threat to their well-being. Several things occurred to me: Stream It Or Skip It: 'A Nearly Normal Family' On Netflix, Where A Family's Secrets Come Out When The Daughter Is Accused Of Murder

The local detectives are not enamored of Jon ... and they feel he is hiding something. Was he complicit in his brother's death? And isn't it a funny coincidence that a bunch of Middle Eastern men blow up the shopping center where he is? Dial-in your fees strategy so that you can earn far more than your corporate career (without working more hours)… Beyoncé Gave The Beyhive A Little Something To Be Thankful For With A “First Look” At ‘Renaissance' During Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade The Consultant involves Jonathan Hunter investigating to find out who killed his brother, Kevin. During his investigation, he discovers terrorists among refugees from Middle Eastern countries. Other dangerous activities happen from the other places around the world, including Russia and Iran. During this time, innocent people get in the middle and receive horrible threats. Can Hunter help to stop more terror before it destroys the country?

Tiffany Haddish Arrested For DUI Again — After Allegedly Falling Asleep Behind The Wheel In Beverly Hills Leave a comment below and let us know what it is, and why it’s your favorite. More Best Consulting Books From Consulting Success®Stephen King said in "Danse Macabe," (I'm paraphrasing): "My goal is to terrify. When I can't do that, I will try to horrify, and if that fails... I'll go for the gross out." BL's philosophy seems to be (at least IMHO, having read about 7 or 8 of his books): start with the threat of something really gross and and then make the payoff much worse than you expect. He is a little like the Seth Rogan of horror novelists--there's a good chance a giant demon penis'll show up somewhere in either's work.

When a mysterious consultant, Regus Patoff (Christoph Waltz), arrives to save the company and wreak havoc on its workers, CompWare’s dynamic duo Craig (Nat Wolff) and Elaine (Brittany O’Grady) set out to uncover the truth about their boss’ death and Patoff’s suspicious presence. Worried about how fast time seems to be going by? The 25 Year Framework will show you have to think long-term in your business — and break free of the day-to-day worries. An important read for consultants who are committed to building their business for years. The terrorists in “The Consultant” have a plan that will reveal itself slowly. And here’s the bad news: They’ve thought of everything. I have always valued the Stephen Covey books. In particular for consulting I like “First Things First”. He offers specific techniques on how to ensure you spend more time on what is important and less time on “urgent” tasks, how to live a life of integrity, and to achieve your goals.” Sales & Marketing teaches you how to apply the 80/20 principle to solve your business problems. Whether you’re having traffic issues, sales issues, or revenue issues, this book will teach you how to do more of what works and less of what doesn’t. Very few consultants find sales and marketing easy — and this book will help you make sense of these critical aspects of your business.

Southern Charm' Star Olivia Flowers Shades 'RHOBH' Star Crystal Kung Minkoff After BravoCon: "I Thought She Was Rude" While there was a great deal to like about this book, it wasn’t entirely without flaw. There were a number of grammatical issues which made me think it needed a thorough line editing. One of the worst, repeated several times, was the author’s fondness for the term ‘exploded’, as in “Her beautiful dark eyes exploded.” In a book with violent scenes of death and graphic violence, that really isn’t good imagery to use, and a good line editor would have helped make that into something less jarring. Craig chose a path in juxtaposition to Elaine as the season moved forward. He knew something was very weird about Patoff, and he decided to do something about it despite Patoff’s claims that Craig is weak and not a leader. In an homage to the company’s game, Craig uses a hammer to shatter the glass floor both men walk upon, resulting in Patoff falling through the shards like the game characters. When Patoff falls through, he loses a toe in the mess of party foods down below, presumably cut off by the sharp glass remnants. Craig brings the digit home with him and starts boiling it, something that is simultaneously bizarre and gross for viewers until they see the result: the toe is made of gold under the flesh. Alyssa Farah Griffin Defends Justin Timberlake Following Britney Spears' Explosive Abortion Claims On 'The View': "They Were Both In A Very Toxic Environment" As for Craig, he gets to know the truth about CompWare and Patoff through the aforementioned big golden toe. His interactions with jeweler Frank Florez first gave him pause in the middle of the season, and this token confirms that Patoff isn’t completely human. Who knows what his future is at CompWare? He’s certainly close with Elaine, so perhaps he’ll continue to move up in the company as well.
