This may not be the best choice for older, rowdier puppies, who may try to climb up the sides or gnaw on the netting. But it’s an excellent option for very young puppies who need a safe space to hang out after naps or between feedings. It prevents them from needing to be tethered or secured to a tie-out, so they are comfortable and can still get exercise. They’re usually used to keep dogs secure overnight or if they are alone in the house. Portable models are also available which can be taken on holidays or elsewhere. Dogs come in all different shapes and sizes - so we make sure our products do, too. If it’s for a puppy, make sure there’s room for a separate sleeping area, a place to play, and a potty spot.
It's important that your dog fits nicely inside the wooden kennel, especially for the ones that love to walk in circles for a few seconds before they lie down or that need space for a few of their favourite dog toys or dog treats to go to sleep. To make sure they fit, you'll want to measure your dog from the top of their head to the bottom of their feet. Then, add around 5 inches to those dimensions. Next, measure them from the tip of their snout to approximately halfway down their tail and add approximately 10 inches to that number. You'll be left with a solid idea of the size of the kennel you should be looking for. Unlike some pens, this one has a step-through door, which makes it easy to walk in when you need to feed your pup or clean up any messes.
