About this deal

This is the point where I’m going to challenge you all,” Arnie said. “Do I believe in miracles? Maybe I do, because I have my eye on one of the biggest prizes of all. One piece of new business in particular that would solve all our problems. The biggest fish in the pond. Any guesses?” He glanced around expectantly. “Think sportswear brands. Think fitness and gyms.” I love these type of stories, especially in a holiday setting. What better place for it to happen but in the Scottish Highlands at Christmas in a snowstorm. The Miller family was intriguing on its own but I also found Lucy to be a compelling character who yearned for family and relationship. I always look forward to the author’s annual holiday stories and this one just kept me in my happy place. She nailed the family issues and softened them by adding comic relief through Nanna Jean, though underneath all her shenanigans was sage wisdom. The romances were complicated but I rooted for all of them. This was a wonderful listening experience to prime me for the upcoming holiday season. Glenda Miller, patriarch of the Miller clan was such a loving and accepting mother, but worried about driving her kids away. I loved the relationship she had with her husband and mother-in-law! We’ll figure it out.” Arnie gathered up his files and his laptop. “The timing is good. Everyone thinks about fitness in January, right? We’ve all stuffed ourselves over the festive period. Turkey. Multiple family meals.” And the truth is that to win accounts, we need good people. To staff accounts, we need good people. But I also need to be able to pay those people and unless we bring in a significant piece of business soon, we’re in trouble.” He rested his hands on the table and was silent for a moment. “I’ve never lied to you and I’m not going to start now. This is the most challenging time we have faced since I started the company thirty years ago, but all is not lost. I have a few new business leads, and I’m going to be following those up personally. And there’s something else we’re going to try—speculative, but worth a shot. It’s major. If we could land that, then we’d be fine.”

No. But in this case it’s going to work to my advantage.” Lucy helped herself to water. “Think about it. Ross Miller wants new customers. What is the profile of a new customer? Not someone like Ted, who is already a convert. It’s people like me, who would never go near a gym. What would it take to make me buy a pair of sexy workout leggings and show up for a morning weights session?” She didn’t want to move. She’d been raised here, by her grandmother, who had loved everything about London and had been keen to share its joys and its history with her granddaughter. When she turns up at the house Ross is not home but it appears the family seemed to have been expecting her, with Nanna Jean extending her hospitality the girls remain open mouthed as their imaginary girlfriend for Ross is in their house bearing the same name so funny, especially when Ross arrives lol.Snowed In for Christmas by Sarah Morgan is a wonderful Christmas contemporary romance that is full of family mayhem and memories. The story in Snowed In for Christmas is one that is told by changing the point of view between the various characters to show all sides. Is Glen Shortbread the one in the pretty tin?” Maya chewed the end of her pen. “The one that changes every year? Last year was snowy mountains and a loch? I love it. Delicious. I buy it for my mum every year. Just looking at it makes me feel Christmassy.” Arnie, who had set up this company over thirty years ago. Arnie, who had left his family’s Christmas celebrations to be by her side in the hospital when her grandmother had died two years earlier. As for the plot, it follows what seems to have become Morgan's pattern. We're introduced to a character early on who dreads Christmas. In Lucy's case it's because it reminds her of losing her beloved grandmother two years ago on Christmas. Toss in that her job may be in jeopardy and she's willing to give up staying home alone for Christmas to travel to Scotland for some festive winter wonderland type photos and moments to use in an advertising campaign. She also plans to drop off a work proposal for Ross at his Miller Family home in the Scottish highlands. That's when things get complicated.

I never did like Alice. The best part of the book for me was when her wannabe fiancee, Nico tells her off for how she's been treating him. I also thought that Clemmie and Alice’s issues might have been wrapped up a little faster, as well as the Ross/Douglas/Glenda thread- because all these characters have a long history with their family and prospective partners, whereas Lucy and Ross only just met, and spent precious little time alone. Their banter was not terribly playful or sharp the few times they did have a convo, and their romance was terribly rushed. It’s a Christmas campaign,” Arnie returned to the subject they’d been discussing before she’d interrupted. “Think festive sparkle, think Christmas trees, think snow. We want photographs of log fires, luxurious throws, candles, mugs of hot chocolate heaped with marshmallows. And fairy lights. Fairy lights everywhere. The images need to be so festive and appealing that people who think they hate Christmas suddenly fall in love with Christmas. Most of all they need to feel that their Christmas will not be complete unless they buy themselves and everyone they know, a—” Arnie looked blank. “What is the product called again?” Alice - is a busy doctor who is a perfectionist and she has her first serious relationship with a heart surgeon who gets all her offish manner. This year is different because she has invited her boyfriend for Christmas. Things get derailed as she overthinks a huge decision.Sarah Morgan is an USA Today bestselling author who was born, in United Kingdom in 1948. As she once said, she began scribbling stories when she was just a child. Her first attempts to publish her book failed, but she never gave up and sent it again and again to Harlequin and finally, her first Medical Romance was accepted. Nowadays, Sarah Morgan is a successful and well-know author for the sensuality and humor she writes her contemporary, hot and happy romances. I unquestionably enjoyed this book, it’s the right time of year to have a weekend festive escape and for devoted fans of Sarah or newbies to her writing will find this a joy to read and I’d happily recommend. I liked her! But then again... She was the only one actually speaking her mind all the time, so of course I did. 😂

In fact I really shouldn't need to say anything else as Sarah Morgan is wonderful, her books are always something special and if you are a fan of hers like I am then why are you reading this review, when you should be reading the book already! Morgan could not have portrayed a more idyllic setting. Isolated by the dumpings of snow thanks to Storm Scrooge, the family are pretty much cut-off from the rest of the world. On one level, it felt like the makings of a Hallmark movie, especially as the Miller family home is described as such a perfect place to spend a family Christmas. All that was missing was a few reindeer (although they do feature at some point in the narrative too). That said, Morgan is a seasoned pro, and she was able to adeptly bring all the threads together with satisfaction and with a nice happily ever after! If you can't tell I thoroughly enjoyed this book! Please don't make me wait another 6 months or so for another Sarah Morgan release, please write faster! From Manhattan with Love’’ series are among her most successful works among readers. The idea of writing these series came to her when she was walking in Central Park of New York and admiring her beautiful surrounding. She found that the surrounding would make a great setting for her new series. And after walking through ‘’leafy Brooklyn streets’’, as she described it, Sarah decided that her three heroines should live in that perfect place.A train set?” Ryan, the intern, grinned. “He does know that a baby can’t play with a train set, doesn’t he?” There you are! I’ve been calling you. I’ll take that—” Rhea, the receptionist, rose from her chair and grabbed the coat from her. “Wow. You look stunning. You’re the only person I know who can look good in a Christmas sweater. Where did you find that one?” It is almost Christmas and the Miller family is holding their big holiday get together with the three adult children coming home to their parents home to celebrate. with all three siblings, Ross, Alice, and Clemmie living in London they do get together quite often and during one of their dinners before returning home they contemplate giving Ross a pretend girlfriend to please their mother who worries of his dating life. Rhea reached out and smoothed a strand of hair out of Lucy’s eyes. “You look calmer than the rest of us. We’re all in a state of panic. Maya has just bought her first flat. Ted’s wife is expecting their first baby any day.”

Lucy was focused on the more immediate problem. How was she supposed to fit a trip to Scotland into her schedule? My grandmother knitted it. She said the sparkly yarn was a nightmare to work with. Feels weird wearing it today of all days, but Arnie insisted that we look festive so here I am, bringing the sparkle. They’ve started?” She’d hoped she might just make it, but the desks around her were all empty.

Publication Order of His Virgin Mistress Books

Yes, but their last campaign was uninspired. That’s just my opinion, obviously, but that doesn’t mean I’m not right. Miller Active has a strong customer base, but seem unable to expand beyond that. They’re going to be shopping around in the New Year. They need us. And it’s our job—” Arnie waved a hand at the team seated around the table “—to persuade them of that fact. Over the next few weeks, I want you to come up with some ideas that will blow them away. Then we need to find a way to get those ideas in front of Ross Miller. It will be our number one priority for the New Year.” I just want to take a moment to say thank you so so much to the team over at HQ Stories and Sarah Morgan for gifting me this book along with a Christmas card from Sarah, a tote bag and a handful of sweet treats! I never win competitions on Booksta so I’m so grateful! The Miller siblings all live in London but are all going home to their remote family home in the highlands of Scotland. They are all carrying a secret that they want to keep firmly to their chest. But her priority right now was the company, which meant she would have to go to Scotland. Unless she could find reindeer closer to home. The zoo? Maybe she could persuade the client to switch the reindeer for a llama. Alpaca? Large sheep? Her mind wandered and then someone’s phone pinged.
