About this deal

This was an easy read and the action was non-stop I’m intrigued to discover where this is going to go next especially with Riva revealing her new talent so unexpectedly. But the bad was pretty bad, we are talking poisoning the fmc (I mean they are superhuman) and healing her when it gets too bad to prevent her from escaping. The story itself is pretty good, but I did want the fmc to be a little more aggressive with the men, in terms of her just letting them get away with soo much. The plot’s pacing and the guys’ group dynamic were fantastic, and the whole relationship drama held my heart in a vice and crushed me completely. I lost count of how many times I wanted to scream into my pillow because the guys were so obtuse in regards to Riva—especially that asshat Jacob (I love him so much though. Damn cheekbones.) The struggle came all from the fact that I know things, because as a reader, I saw all of their perspectives, but they do not. My shipper heart hurt, but it was all very well done. It successfully messed with my mind. Jacob and Andreas were the ones I loved the most, and therefore the ones who had the most power to completely destroy me. And do not get me started on Griffin… This was an intriguing beginning to the series it’s a paranormal reverse harem with an enemies-to-lovers theme. I wouldn’t really describe this as a bully romance more of a misunderstanding leading to lots of hateful actions and words and Jacob seemed to be the main source. It ends in a cliffhanger (thank god it’s only another month for the next one) that I’m excited to see how it goes. I hope they all grovel at her feet forever imo.The world building continues to focus on the friendships and relationships of the former Special Forces soldiers: their struggle to move forward as the ghosts from the past continue to haunt their days and nights. But given that their tumble in the sheets had failed to make any dent in her attitude he knows his work is cut out for him. She is so naive and too peppy that it is dangerous.

Molly was in danger from the very first opening of Chapter One. What surprised me was where the immediate danger was coming from. What a great way to start a book. And the emotional intensity continued because let's face it, Jase had an unrequited love for Molly, for years. Add to that, the physical danger starts to ramp up and it comes from a place that Molly would never have suspected. But that danger is absolutely real and potentially vicious. Because this person (a.k.a. John) is extremely violent and we see example after example of what he does to people who cross him. *Shiver*There were several points in the story where my heart ached, especially towards the end. I won’t go into detail to avoid spoilers, but I’m very curious to see how the dynamic evolves in the second book. There is some serious groveling to be done. The only thing that got me was when there is finally some 'action' between the two of them I noticed a repeat in the phrasing about nipples within two-three paragraphs of each other and I mentally fell out of the story for a moment thinking "How f**king tight can one woman's nipples get???" It kinda took away from the story. I also didn't require the epilogue. While it was a bit funny, I would have liked it if it had ended with "even the bullet part" from the end of the last chapter. SHATTERED VOWS is a story of grief and loss, friendships and love, struggle and battling demons from the past. The premise is intriguing and engaging; the characters are colourful, charismatic and spirited; the romance is captivating and seductive. SHATTERED VOWS is a sexy, sensitive and edgy story of second chances and HEA. Also I can’t help but think about how she truly threw herself in front of a train, when she found out what their true motives were in the end. I know that she did it to stop herself from killing them ( which like I mean she wouldn’t be wrong to do that), but I wish she had just gotten away from them. Maybe have gotten captured, and then they could lament that fact that it was their actions that drove her to it. However, no, my girl said go big or go home and ran right into a train. Isekai (manwha/manga reference) this girl stat so she can get in a story with way nicer men. I’m being extra harsh not all of the men were as terrible as Jacob. But I definitely need to see groveling next book, I don’t think I can continue reading if Riva immediately forgives them. Nah I need her to damn near move on from them before she forgive them. That’s what’s driving me to read the next book. But she is now flying to the small town he calls home on her stilettos from the city just for him. She believes spending a month with the man while filming should be easy enough since she had been his personal assistant for years.
