About this deal

Max light output HDR (high dynamic range) while displaying a live scene and white square taking up 60% of the screen (measured in Nits) There are also terrestrial and satellite tuners, a 3.5mm audio output, an optical digital output, an Ethernet port, three USB ports (two 2.0 and one 3.0), and a common interface slot. In terms of wireless connections, there’s built-in dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and support for Apple AirPlay 2. It’s worth noting that the two smaller screen sizes don’t get the boost in brightness seen on the 55in model and above. This is due to the density of the pixels in relation to the resolution of their panels being so high that the smaller screens can’t take advantage of LG’s Brightness Booster technology. Max light output HDR (high dynamic range) while displaying small white square taking up 60% of the screen (measured in Nits)

Voice Control features may not be available in all languages and dialects. Refer to source material. ThinQ TV control voice commands are supported. Subtitle and audio description information spoken on the electronic programme guide more info panelThe Magic Remote is the same as last year, and remains the best controller on the market, with an onscreen pointer that makes navigating the TV intuitive and fun. There are direct access buttons for Netflix, Prime Video, Disney+ and Rakuten TV, along with activation buttons for the built-in Alexa and Google assistants. There’s also a microphone for voice interaction, and an NFC tag. LG C2 OLED review: Smart TV platform Comparison based on internal LG testing of LG OLED TV Full White measurements, excluding the OLED evo series. Brightness Booster improvements do not apply to 48/42C2. We discovered a flaw with the equipment used to force an HDR signal when measuring color volume and the color gamut. We've switched to a new tool and updated our measurements. The color gamut and volume have changed slightly. Max light output HDR (high dynamic range) while displaying small white square taking up 10% of the screen (measured in Nits) The LG C2 is a 4K (3,840 x 2,160) HDR smart TV that includes the company’s latest advanced OLED panel. It sits in the middle of the South Korean manufacturer’s OLED lineup and is powered by its new Alpha9 Gen5 processor with AI Picture Pro, AI Sound Pro, and Brightness Booster technology.

We uploaded the brightness measurements and uniformity photos after running the TV for four months in our Accelerated Longevity Test.

We test input lag with an HDFury Diva 4K HDMI matrix and measure how long it takes between when the TV receives a signal and the picture updates, which is vital for playing games. With Game Optimizer enabled, the C2 has an input lag of just 5 milliseconds (ms), well below the 10ms threshold we use to determine if a TV is among the best for gaming. This is with default settings in Game Optimizer mode; if you switch the Prevent Input Delay setting to Boost, the input lag drops to an incredibly low 1.5ms. We tested the TV with the PS5's new variable refresh rate feature and confirmed that it's working properly. The LG C2 is equally as impressive when it comes to HDR, and while not as bright as the G2, it can hit 754cd/m2 on a 10% window and 174cd/m2 on a full-field pattern in the Standard mode, and 756cd/m2 on a 10% window and 164cd/m2 on a full-field pattern in the more accurate Filmmaker mode. Although a smidge brighter than last year’s C1, it’s not a huge difference.
