About this deal

In my tests, the COD Mobile ran at High GFX + Max FPS or both Very High GFX and FPS. Asphalt 9, Shadow Fight 4 Arena were also playable. This kind of performance is just what we expect from a phone at the Moto G60S’s level. But Xiaomi’s Poco X3 Pro disrupted that, providing far greater power for similar cash. I don’t think battery life is an issue here, however. The Moto G60S still sails through full days with a decent chunk of charge remaining by the end of the day. It’s just that some Motorola handsets have excellent battery life, while here it is just “solid”. Motorola has been aggressive with the Moto G60, and the Rs. 17,999 price matches that of the Realme 8 Pro. While there have been compromises to get to this price point, Motorola hasn't cut corners significantly in terms of performance or the software experience. The Moto G60 is more powerful than the Realme 8 Pro and offers a better user experience. You also need to get very close to your subject to get anything approaching macro-like detail too. The Xiaomi Redmi Note 10 Pro’s macro camera is much better, despite the 5MP sensor, because its lens has a more ‘zoomed in’ view.

If you get the Moto G40 Fusion, you'll downgrade to a 64MP main camera but get the same camera specs otherwise. Since the Moto G60 should have the same photography software plus upgraded hardware, we're hopeful it will do even better with its main cam and mitigate some of the issues with its sibling phones' selfies. It has a huge screen, four rear cameras, 128GB of storage, and one of the fastest-charging batteries you’ll find anywhere near the price. The Moto G60S’s charge rate is far greater than that of an iPhone 13 Pro Max, or Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra. The rear cameras of mobile devices use mainly a LED flash. It may arrive in a single, dual- or multi-light setup and in different arrangements. Still, the key appeals of the Moto G series are here. The software is clean and clear, general performance is good, and battery life is long enough to avoid charge anxiety. This is also one of the fastest-charging Androids you can get when spending this much. Moto G60S release date and price

The Motorola Moto G60S was originally released in August 2021. At the time of launch it was Motorola’s top-end 4G Android. Historically, MediaTek CPUs have been considered budget alternatives to Qualcomm’s Snapdragon processors. MediaTek has started to turn that reputation around with chipsets such as the excellent Dimensity 1200. However, the G95 is a just-okay CPU that sits a little behind the Snapdragon 732G found in some rival devices at this level. It’s far behind the Snapdragon 860 in the Xiaomi Poco X3 Pro, which is probably the best gaming phone you can get with a Moto G60S-size budget. CPU is the Central Processing Unit or the processor of a mobile device. Its main function is to interpret and execute instructions contained in software applications. The Moto G60S is classic Motorola. It’s an affordable, slightly chunky phone that offers a generous amount of tech for your money.

I played Call of Duty Mobile on the Moto G60 which defaulted to the High settings for both graphics as well as frame rate and was playable without any stutter or lag. I played for ten minutes and noticed a three percent battery drop. The Moto G60 also got warm to the touch around the camera module and the top half of the display. The Moto G60 display matches the leaked specs we learned of last month: it has a 6.8-inch LCD panel with a 120Hz refresh rate, HDR10 certification, and a Full HD+ display with 1080 x 2460 resolution and 396 ppi. However, you don’t get 5G mobile internet or the stereo speakers that have been fairly common in recent Moto phones, and camera quality is just okay.Charging speed is excellent. It gets you from totally flat to 43% in just 15 minutes, and reaches 76% in 30 minutes. The charge system doesn’t seem to be quite as advanced as, say, OnePlus’s, though. Nevertheless, the Motorola Moto G60S can still take perfectly good photos in most conditions. It’s helped by Auto HDR processing, and while the OV64B40 isn’t a top-end sensor, it holds up pretty well considering its compromises. Video recording tops out at 4K for the primary camera as well as the selfie camera. Stabilisation is available on both, but it isn't enabled by default. The Moto G60 does a good job at stabilising video shot in daylight at 1080p. It has a slight shimmer at 4K but I can excuse this given the price of the smartphone. I found low-light video to be a little too dark for my liking, and the stabilisation felt inadequate as the output had a visible shimmer effect at both resolutions. A large screen is one of the main draws of the Motorola Moto G60S. It’s 6.8 inches across and, unlike the Moto G 5G Plus, it has a roughly 20:9 aspect ratio rather than a 21:9 one. That means it’s slightly less tall, giving you more useful space when watching YouTube videos and other widescreen content.

Not surprisingly, even the main camera uses a budget sensor. It’s the OmniVision OV64B40, which was reportedly the first 64-megapixel sensor of this type to shrink pixels down from 1-micron to 0.7-micron. For us phone photographers, smaller sensor pixels aren’t good news. One of the main characteristics of the display is its type/technology, on which depends its performance. System on Chip (SoC) A system on a chip (SoC) includes into a single chip some of the main hardware components of the mobile device. SoC

Motorola Moto G60

A. First of all Moto G60 has L1 DRM certification. However, Prime Video wasn’t running HD content whence I tested. The aperture (f-stop number) indicates the size of the lens diaphragm opening, which controls the amount of light reaching the image sensor. The lower the f-stop number, the larger the diaphragm opening is, hence, the more light reaches the sensor. Usually, the f-stop number specified is the one that corresponds to the maximum possible diaphragm opening.

Photos of people shot in dim rooms look undersaturated, soft and murky. Street photography at night is low on detail, excessively soft, and color is poor. The Moto G60S does have a Night Vision mode, which improves the brightness of images a bit, but the results are still bad compared to those of a Pixel 4a. Close-ups were better, and the phone managed sharp results with accurate colours and good details. Portrait shots had good edge detection, and the Moto G60 lets you set the level of blur before you take a shot. The Moto G60 captures 8-megapixel macros, and these had good detail, plus the relatively high resolution makes it easy to crop if required.

The display resolution shows the number of pixels on the horizontal and vertical side of the screen. The higher the resolution is, the greater the detail of the displayed content. So is it a success? Sort of. The Xiaomi Redmi Note 10 Pro looks and feels so good without a case, it appears almost a shame to put on; but Motorola has shown it knows how to style out compromise. Good battery life is something you almost always get in Motorola’s more affordable G-series phones. The Moto G60S has a 5,000mAh battery, like most in this series. Motorola uses a Full HD resolution 120Hz LCD panel. This screen tech doesn’t provide the peerless contrast of an OLED, and there’s some loss of brightness at an angle. Rear Main Camera: UHD (at 120/30 fps), Full HD (at 240/60/30 fps), HD (at 360 fps), Rear Ultra-wide Angle/Macro Camera: Full HD (at 30 fps), Front Camera: UHD (at 30 fps), Full HD (at 240/60/30 fps), HD (at 360 fps)
