This month, we were sent Monster Splat to play with, a game by Ravensburger that requires a little bit of coordination and skill, but is a lot of fun at the same time! It takes a few swings to get the hang of the game, and even more to perfect your timing, so this original game is a real money maker. With a little teasing you’ll soon have all the lads and the dads trying to prove their sporting skills, and with a little more sneaky showmanship you can get the girls involved too try and show the men how it’s done. Before you know it, you’ll have people queuing up to take a swing, sending your takings flying upwards as fast as the monster flies down. If you needed an excuse to buy more potato chips, here it is! After all, once you pop, the fun just doesn't stop! Now, the fun can continue for your entire school year!

I imagine if there are more players or those with less tuned coordination it’ll take longer. That being said, I’m not the most coordinated person (I broke my foot getting changed once) and after a few minutes practising I was able to snatch a few cards. They're based in convenient locations including supermarkets, newsagents and train stations. Plus they're often open late and on Sundays. DAD: Well I’m not sure about the vampire bit, but you’re right, the animals aren’t the same at all, but the sounds in their names are. ’Bat’ and ’cat’. See? Oh, I’ve another one. ’Cat’ and ’fat’. Fat cat! Why don’t you all look around and see if you can find words that rhyme?With family game nights being a firm favourite when it comes to things we like doing of an evening, it’s becoming a challenge to find new games to play. Don’t get me wrong, there are several games that we play time and time again, or ones that are always at the top of T’s suggestion list if given the choice.
