May 14, 2011: A photo of Abbey Bominable's debut doll is displayed on the Monster High Facebook account. In the music video " Feel the Energy", as Abbey was singing, she and Heath walked towards each other and touched hands creating steam that forms into a heart. Monster High™ introduces Abbey Bominable™, the daughter of the yeti! This charismatic and friendly monster hails from the cold peaks of the Himalayas and has the power to control ice and snow. Abbey Bominable™ doll comes with lots of spooktacular accessories, including her pet wooly mammoth Tundra™! Kids 4 years and older will love integrating her into their Monster High™ doll skullection. Superhuman Strength: Abbey is muscular enough to lift one student at a time and carry heavy material with ease. This Monster High™ doll is freezingly fierce in a snowflake-inspired outfit with furry details. She comes with tons of storytelling pieces for lots of fearsome fun!With her furr-ociously friendly pet mammoth Tundra™ at her side, Abbey Bominable™ is ready for all sorts of spine-chilling adventures! Her attire features a set of blue ice-like visor glasses, as well as blue icicle-shaped earrings to match. She wears a short-sleeved white crop-top, which features dark purple trim and a snowflake which has a pink, white and cyan-blue gradient with a dark purple outline, printed on the front. Under her top, she wore a cropped dark purple sweater with fur trim on the sleeve's edges, followed by a set of baggy lilac pants, which features a darker purple gradient and a pattern of light blue snowflakes printed all over it. She completes her look with a pair of large, sparkling dark purple and cyan-blue platform sandals, which has a dripping (or icicle) pattern. Ice Building: Most of the time, when she’s trying to create or create ice, Abbey will reach out and create ice with her hands. She can create anything from ice bridges to ice walls that look like they’re made of holograms. Abbey Bominable™ doll has long pastel shimmer hair and wears a cropped tee with mesh sleeves and faux-fur cuffs. Her snowflake-printed pants have hem slits, while her platform shoes are icy cool. Increased strength: Abbey has a lot of strength and endurance, which you'd think would come naturally. She can lift even the toughest of students, and she's really easy to lift, which is great when you're playing sports. Abbey is Nepalese, but there's a lot of cultural overlap between her cultural identity, she has an Indian accent, she and her mother both speak Nepalese, her head sculpt was also inspired by Nepalese women. But later her designer, Cristina Faline later confirmed that she's Nepalese.
In “Scareer Day”, Abbey accompanied Heath during Hades’ scareer day presentation and she shyly thanked him for saving the school from the slumber pixies. In “Monster Match”, Abbey and Heath are going to the Monster Ball together. September 20, 2011: Abbey Bominable makes her Monster High book debut in Where There's a Wolf, There's a Way. Ice Sneeze: When Abbey sneezes, which she doesn't usually do, it changes her environment and usually causes ice to form somewhere.In " Monster Match", Heath asks Abbey in an extravagant way to be his date to the monster ball, which she joyfully agrees to and ends up hugging him
In another A Perfect Match episode, Heath spends a lot of time trying to get Abbey to invite him to the dance, but despite her friends’ objections, Abbey asks him anyway. The reason she asks him is explained at the end of the episode when she tells Cleo, “He makes me smile.” Abbey calls herself the youngest in her description for I Heart Fashion. Iris Clops mentions her brother in her SDCCI diary, but doesn’t name him. Ice Sculpting: Despite being able to create shapes from ice, Abbey can flawlessly sculpt shapes in the ice. She describes herself as very clumsy. Although being very friendly, Abbey has always been very lonely, because her mother kept them hidden from the world, she never had friends, until she met the Boo Crew. Abbey has also shown to be determined to fulfill her dreams and fight for them, as she planned on going to Monster High to convince the monsters there she can control her powers so they would allow her to study there, even though her mother didn't allow her to do it. With her kind personality, Abbey managed to make true friends, this made her mother realize how wrong she was, and she let her daughter go to Monster High.
