This Here to Slay expansion was long waited in our household. It certainly didn’t fail to brighten up our day with the adorable new heroes. This expansion, although small, adds some powerful new cards to change up the gameplay. We found this really helped to vary the game each time we played. Challenge cards are used to stop another player from playing a Hero card, Item card, or Magic card. When a player begins to play any of these cards, you may play a Challenge card. The challenge is then initiated.And remember, the Party leader’s class counts towards the winning condition of having 6 different classes in your party. There are many opportunities to interact with other players since a big part of the game revolves around sabotaging your opponents. If you have enough action points remaining, you can perform the same action more than once on your turn. Anyway, I always recommend protecting your cards with sleeves, which is the best way to avoid ruining the edges while shuffling them. Replayability Shuffle now the Monster cards and flip the top three face up in the centre of the table. These will be the 3 monsters you’re going to try to slay.

Each of you will roll the two dice. If you score higher or equal to, then you win the challenge, and the player must discard the card they were attempting to play. If they roll higher or equal to you, then they win and may continue with their turn. Item cards must be equipped to a Hero card when they are played. This is done by sliding the item card underneath a Hero card. Only one Item card can be equipped at a time. If a Hero card is destroyed, stolen, or returned to your hand, the same is done to the Item card. Magic Cards:To use a Hero card’s effect, you must roll the dice and score equal to or higher than the roll requirement for that effect.
