Generally, I give the Anima very good marks, but I have to deduct a few points because, in my opinion, plastic just never looks as good as stainless steel or chrome. Durability As I've said in the past, I'm not a big fan of touch screens, I find that they're usually a bit of a novelty and they just get in the way after that has worn off, but with the new Accademia the glass touch screen is actually really nice to use, but if if you don't like swiping the screen, you can use the metal dial instead.

Yes, it's a little bit more expensive than some of the other more entry-level options, but just look at some of the features. If you've decided that a bean to cup machine is for you, then of course the next decision is, which bean to cup machine to go for. In my humble opinion, the cappuccinatore version (usually called deluxe or milk) is a better bet than the carafe version
Which kind of bean to cup coffee machine you go for would determine just how much of a one touch process it is, as bean to cup coffee machines are split into two categories too: Home barista espresso machines, also known as prosumer espresso machines, are basically commercial-grade espresso machines made for home use. Aesthetics and appearance are highly subjective, but I think the Gaggia Anima Prestige is an attractive machine. Durability From switched off, if you're making a milky such as a cappuccino or latte, you're probably looking at a grand total of 2 – 3 mins, similar to the Brera, which is very impressive. With espresso, you're probably looking at maybe one and a half minutes, maybe even a bit less! Great steam: The Anima Deluxe has all of the features of the base level semi-auto anima, but with the cappuccinatore to handle the milk for you instead of the steam wand. If you're looking for something a little more feature-rich than the Gaggia Anima, take a look at the Anima Prestige. The biggest upgrade? The Animal Prestige comes with an automatic frother and dedicated buttons for cappuccinos and latte macchiatos. So you're using double the amount of coffee for double the amount of espresso, as you would do if you were using a stand alone grinder and a semi auto espresso machine, only it's doing it in two lots rather than grinding double then pulling a double shot.
