About this deal
I enjoy these mashed potatoes because they’re light and fluffy, and the garlic flavor is really tasty. Sybil Initially, this was reasonable, but the aftertaste with the onions was really rather unpleasant. Edible, but disappointing. It would probably have been OK if it had been made with an ordinary onion. The mashed potatoes from Bob Evans are my favorite because they’re gluten-free and made with real butter and milk, which makes them taste great every time
William Very reasonable, quite a tasty risotto in fact. Personally, I'd have seasoned it a bit better, but the texture was nice and it was very tasty. It would make a perfectly nice, decent little supper - although I'd make it from scratch. Peel (or don’t) the potatoes and cut into the size and shape of your choice. Pop the potato into boiling water and parboil until the potato is almost cooked, tender but still firm, the timing will depend on the size of your potatoes (a couple minutes for chips and up to five minutes for larger roast potatoes). Plunge the potatoes into a bowl of iced water to stop the cooking process, then drain using a colander, shaking the potatoes to fluff them up. Portion up the mashed potato, we find portions of two, or even one, work best. Pop each portion into a resealable, airtight freezer bag, remove any excess air, then spread the mashed potato out as flat as possible, label, then pop into the freezer and freeze until solid. Sybil I thought the flavour was reasonable, but the texture . . . If it had been cooked for any longer it would have been like wallpaper glue. There wasn't much rice and it was very soft because it had already been cooked.

James There was nothing wrong with this - but why the tinned onions? A fresh onion, caramelised, would have made all the difference, and it's not hard to do. They come in both original and roasted garlic flavors, and they’re made with real potatoes, so they taste delicious.
Take a break halfway through to give the mixture a good stir. This promotes even heating throughout. Made with fresh potatoes and real butter, these come with an equally creamy taste that’s enhanced with the right sprinkling of salt. Samantha Very cheesy, not much rice compared with the rest of the ingredients and a really, really bad aftertaste. This isn't one for me or my schoolkids.

Their brand of frozen mashed potatoes is constantly sold out, which says a lot about thequality of the product. You can reduce the time it takes to make perfect mash even further by cooking your Aunt Bessie’s mashed potato in the microwave. They’re also a good option if you’re looking for something that’s gluten-free. Also, these frozen potatoes are great for making potato patties.
