The cast iron benches and seats are supplied in grade 250 cast iron as standard with additional options to be cast in ductile iron, grades 450-10. The composition of ductile iron makes the benches and seats inherently stronger, therefore Broxap advise these where the seat may be exposed to vandalism or possible vehicular impact.Our products are designed to inspire confidence in users through safe, easy access and inclusive designs as well as contribute towards connected communities. Timber seating can be installed freestanding in very secure areas or in locations where regular repositioning is required. Alternatively, root fixing options may be available. Bolt-down or concrete-in base plate fixings also provide a secure installation. Our contractors are trained in the legal and safety requirements of play installations and each project is carefully audited to ensure it remains compliant with the appropriate codes throughout all stages of the build. The inclusion of cyclist facilities can also contribute to BREEAM building certification status and contributes to ENE8 credits when used in the appropriate situation, under the Code for Sustainable Homes.
