About this deal

The author gives us a little of everything in this book. Sometimes that means that many of the elements are unresolved or worse simply the story becomes a mis-mash and is rendered dissatisfying; not Blind Side which proved to be a well-rounded and interesting tale putting some of the recent history of terrorism into a wider perspective. Curiously it complemented the non-fiction book I’m reading about the First World War with men fighting a cause they no longer believe in and see sights they would never forget for good measure. For more on Jennie Ensor talking about her debut novel Blind Side see the recent guest post that appeared on my blog recently Here

For instance, in the novel, Michael is shown getting into a fight with another student at Ole Miss instead of the gang members, as it's portrayed in the film. Additionally, instead of working with a tutor to improve his grades and help him get into college, he is shown taking very rudimentary classes online to boost his GPA and ensure his eligibility. There are so many subjects and issues to discuss in Blind Side, that I think it would be excellent for book groups. a b c Nirshberg, Greg (7 December 2010). "Book Review – Blindsight by Peter Watts". For a debut novel this is a brave topic as [is] the time it is set in, but what Jennie Ensor brings is a thrilling psychological story that I really enjoyed and raced through. If you enjoy a thriller with a number of themes running through the story, then Blind Side is one not to be missed.”

Lewis’s overview of the evolution of NFL strategy…is not only sound but shrewder than that of many so-called football insiders who can’t see the forest for the trees." Within a few months, Simpson had a change of heart and admitted Oher to his school. But entering Briarcrest was no panacea and produced no immediate change. The kid was out of place, shy, awkward, and way behind. Soon after Sean first met Oher, he set up a standing cafeteria account for him so that he’d be able to eat lunch every day.
