About this deal

Vertical alignment panels (VA, AVA and MVA) generally have narrow viewing angles and very high contrast levels, although they don’t always have the greatest colour accuracy. The stand included with the AOC Q27V4EA looks great, but it only offers tilt for adjustments. That’s fine in some cases, but you’d want some vertical adjustments as well if in case the display sits too low for you. You can opt for a cheap VESA mount to improve this characteristic, but that still adds cost even if you buy the lowest-priced VESA mount out there.

Information about the brightness of the screen. It is measured in candela per square metre (cd/m²). The operating temperature shows the safe temperature range (from minimum to maximum), within which the display will function flawlessly. Outside this range it might operate improperly and/or fail entirely. There’s no doubt that a 1440p monitor is the best choice for most people, whether they intend to work or play on it. WQHD or QHD monitors are getting cheaper by the minute, and if you’re hoping to do some gaming, they – unlike 4K and ultrawide displays – don’t require an extraordinarily powerful GPU to make the most of them. If you can deal with the non-adjustable stand, the Q27V4EA is a lovely all-purpose monitor for anyone who works and plays in the same place. Dimensions, weight and color Information about the dimensions and the weight of the specific model with and without stand as well as the colors, in which it is offered to the market. Width

The storage humidity shows the lower and upper humidity limit, which ensures safe storage of the display. Storing it outside these limits might damage the display. The AOC Q27V4EA only produced 93% sRGB which is low by today’s standards, but acceptable for daily use. Its default accuracy contrasts that with an excellent deltaE average of only 1.51 which is a score you don’t regularly see on budget monitors. It’s not as vibrant as other offerings, but it costs considerably less than something like the AOC Q27P2Q which is its higher-tiered sibling. With a two-port USB hub complementing the UltraGear Ergo’s HDMI 2 and DP 1.4 ports, the only thing that would have made this panel any more appealing is USB-C. Given the rest of the specs sheet, however, we’re willing to let it slide. To assess a monitor’s panel, we run a series of tests that cover things such a colour accuracy, gamut coverage, peak brightness/contrast and motion handling. Motion handling tests can be done using a web application – we use BlurBusters’ suite of monitor testing tools – but for the rest, we use a colorimeter and professional display calibration and characterisation software. We use an X-Rite i1Display Studio colorimeter and DisplayCal software to generate our results. An adjustable stand: Having an adjustable stand will you give you much more flexibility – and you won’t need to stuff books or magazines underneath to raise it to a comfortable height. It’s not uncommon to find a budget monitor with tilt and height adjustment. It’s not impossible to find one that can swivel and rotate, too, even if it is more of a rarity. The storage temperature shows the range from a minimum to a maximum temperature, within which storing of the display is considered to be safe. Throw in a USB 3 hub (replete with three USB-A ports) and an appealing, bezel-less design and you’re left in no doubt: this is the ultimate value gaming monitor.
