Michelin's checklist will help you prepare your journey before your leave and Michelin's safety alerts will warn you about dangerous driving areas, such as steep hills and level crossing. We've not bothered with that one, we use the Atlas Routier et Touristique, it's 1/250 000 scale which is a good and readable scale, plenty of detail.
If you are referring to the Michelin road atlases, the A3 and A4 are to the same scale and have the same detail, but the A3 is too big for convenient use in a car.
