About this deal

However, things do get a bit shaky on rougher terrain as the tires are small and you will feel strong judders if going over large tree roots or cracks in the pavement, but the suspension does a decent job to protect against knocks. That said, the clip does hold the folded buggy together and the Techno XT can even withstand the 'gentle touches' of aeroplane baggage handlers.

Keep in mind, this is not the same kind of suspension you get on a jogger, but it’s better than nothing. The stroller's seat can not be switched to a rear-facing position (which some parents prefer with very young babies). The pushchair has a, clever see-through UV sun shield, great for a protected view, with a brilliantly sized hood designed to allow for a peaceful nap, safe from the sun. What sets it apart from other strollers is the fold down hood that covers baby in the cold or sun, I never needed a parasol and is brilliant for when baby is sleeping. It does have adjustable handle heights, but on the lowest setting it's still higher than the Quest making it longer when folded. This stroller has nicer fabric and components, but the construction of the stroller is lacking in the way the parts come together. The fold is slightly below average in the group requiring two hands to open and close, and it is on par with the fold of the Mountain Buggy Nano. Nothing worse than waking your little one up by reclining them when all you were trying to do was make them more comfortable! The wheels are a bit noisy, but only on uneven/rough ground and it's really not a big issue - hasn't bothered me.

Maclaren sell the Techno XT as a pushchair which can be used from birth, inclusive of a head support, shoulder straps, head and food barrier for extra safety of slipping around, and 5-point harness, however I would prefer to use from around one year old. After trying out another stroller to replace my large travel system I was left dissatisfied until I bought the Maclaren techno xt. The Maclaren Techno XT folds to a narrow profile widthwise, with very little extra bulk from the wheels. I'm 5'8 or so and DH is 6'1 so we're not giants by any means but I've found myself slightly stooping over to push other buggies and I can only imagine how much of a pain this would become over time! The Techno has one of the most extensive canopies in the review, and it is on par with those usually only found on full-size strollers.Fat Llama is a peer-to-peer rental platform — we connect people who need stuff with people who have stuff. Our baby seems to find it comfy, it is lightweight, very easy to steer and can easily be laid back for a sleeping child. I bought my Maclaren Techno XT as a companion to my Bugaboo Cameleon (see separate review) and it has been fantastic from day one. The only problem I have noticed is although the seat is padded, the frame that runs along the spine of the seat is quite uncomfortable and sometimes leaves my son with a red mark on the back of his head. We've had a Britax Vigour 3 for 18 months now but wanted to get a lighter stroller now that our daughter is a bit older (and heavier!

It doesn't hurt them to have that refles but it really disturbes their sleep and my almost sole purpose for going out with the pram was to get mine to sleep, well, whether we went out with that intention or not they always did. If you do use this buggy with a newborn, you probably won't be able to see your little one while in the buggy.

I purchsed the maclaren XT as though is wasmore expensive i thought it would last for a 2nd child, how wrong was I. Before each use, please show your child where they should hold onto the pushchair or Saddle to avoid any fingertraps that may be accessible at the back of your pushchair. g. if you book a rental for on Monday evening for Wednesday morning), then this cooling-off period does not apply. We were thinking this would just be a second buggy for us - but its looking like its become our main buggy of choice as we never use the Britax now.

One thing could be just live with it and own that you have a pushchair that survived one child, a lot of sun, and still works fine even if faded. Don't intend to stop using it any time soon as it still works perfectly and Samara likes to sit in it. The other problem I have is with the harness; I find it very difficult to clip together, that could just be me, but there is certainly a knack to it which I don’t have. The only thing the Techno has better than the Quest is the extending hood, which is handy to shelter your child from wind or sun. This is already a very high canopy, but if you have a super tall child you can slide the canopy up the frame giving your child up to 30″.br />
and it being compact enough to fit in the car but roomy enough to be comfortable for a wriggly toddler! Somehow I didn't desire this stroller, I wasn't impressed by the sporty design, I prefer more elegant strollers, but a good offer came, so we tried it ;-) I had the 2015 model, bought older, after one child - I think it can handle 3-4 kids just fine.
