About this deal

Quality-wise, it's oozing - SO superior to cheaper and in my experience, less dependable knock-offs. but if there is a risk the Knifeless Rebar is still not considered UK-legal carry, I'd have to look elsewhere e. Quote from: SteveC on March 11, 2016, 09:52:58 PM I can't believe that it would be a mistake to not list one of the known features in a brand new tool.

With all the features to get even the toughest jobs done, in a smaller, slimmer size, the Rebar is sure to be an instant hit on job sites and home projects the world over.

I had a Gerber MP600 knifeless that I left somewhere in my previous abode, but I love this UK 'street-legal' Rebar and it has a much more precisely engineered finish and refined action than the Gerber and because of the deliberate omission of a blade I can take it anywhere with me. Quote from: Fortytwo on March 11, 2016, 08:50:29 PM My belief is that this is a niche product for a certain set of people, who wants a tool but for one reason or another want's to skip the blade. Checked the LM site and they list the crimper for the regular Rebar but not for the knifeless, yet the pic of knifeless shows the crimper on the head and the pic of the regular one doesn't.

The Leatherman Knifeless Rebar is a great everyday carry item for all those odd jobs that need a bit of filing or a loose screw that needs doing. I have further expanded the set with the Leatherman Bit driver so that I can have a variety of bits to use to screw/unscrew. Similar to the Super Tool 300, the Rebar pliers have been manufactured for optimal strength and feature wire and hard wire cutters. The Original Leatherman Rebar is one of the long standing classic Tools and is best suited to everyday working applications.I would recommend this to anyone since I believe you should be self reliant and this allows you to solve a lot of problems out and about. My dream would be having a very large pair of scissors offered on their main lineups in place of a blade as an option. Built for tough jobs and the hands that do them, the Knifeless Rebar features scissors instead of a traditional knife blade. My belief is that this is a niche product for a certain set of people, who wants a tool but for one reason or another want's to skip the blade.

By purchasing this product from JB Tools, purchasers may not be guaranteed any manufacturer-provided services offered by the manufacturer of this product (including any training or technical support that may otherwise be available). And if one has a dedicated tool for any the other 17 tools in a Rebar, do you think Leatherman would market a "can opener less Rebar"? The Every Day Carry Leatherman Rebar is perfect for environments and job sites that need a handy set of tools, yet don't allow for knife blades. It's really just about somebody telling you that you can't have something, or that you can't do something.

Speaking of the awl, I can't think of anything so completely useless for a general multitool like this! Quote from: Smashie on July 22, 2016, 01:43:41 PM My understanding is that the locking saw is enough to get you into trouble here in the UK. At least for me the added cost is closer to 33% and I do not agree with your idea of who this knife is marked for.

Like the Supertool 300, but a little smaller, the Rebar Knifeless has removable wire cutting blades that can be sharpened on the tools own file or even replaced. For this upcharge you loose the 420HC knife, the 420HC serrated knife and the electrical crimper but do get spring-action scissors. All locking features means that every tool and knife on the body of the handle, with the exception of the plier head, will lock into place. Leatherman fans will immediately recognise the distinct boxy body of the Knifeless Rebar found in the Super Tool 300 and Micra. I'd prefer a Leatherman tool for EDC (not on me, but in the bag I always have on my bike, which also contains puncture repair kit, tyres levers etc.

I want to be able to carry my mini Topeak Rocket ratchet plus Leatherman bit extension in the side pockets and Leatherman bits in the back pocket.
