About this deal

Inside 25 Cromwell Street reads initially as excerpts from interviews of two of Fred and Rose West's children, later shifting into what seems to be journal entries during the trial of Rose West, followed by a comprehensive timeline of events and examples of letters written to the authors from their parents in jail.

During this time, in their family home, Rose would have men come to visit her in the bedroom upstairs, whilst the children were left to play in the rooms downstairs. I feel its an engrossing and honest book and the loving letters from Rose to Mae sent a shiver down my spine she sounds like any loving mother expect she is imprisoned for Ten Murders. It's good to know that Anne-Marie (the oldest child, half-sister to the others) has grown into a dignified woman and I wish all the other children only the best. Mae is very loyal to her mum but admits her childhood was unusual , very strict and she had to put up with her fathers talk of sex. Their unpredictable world of brutality, sexual abuse and violence finally came apart with the most shattering series of discoveries any child could be asked to face.A first-hand account of the events at 25 Cromwell Street in Gloucester by the two oldest surviving children of the late Fred West and his wife Rosemary, who earlier this year were accused of the serial killing and torture of eighteen women and children. Indeed, when a man came to visit ‘Mandy’, the children would know that they would have to occupy themselves for a number of hours whilst their mother looked after the visitor. Providing the reader with such a first-person-insight into what life was like within the West’s family home, with chapter after chapter detailing what happened to the children, delivered in such an emotionally impactful manner; the book is not only unique in what it offers but much more of a tough read for it. The first of these seconds is by far and away the largest one, dealing with life at 25 Cromwell Street before the body of Heather West was found buried in the backgarden.

Inside 25 Cromwell Street tells the story of the Wests, focusing on the crimes they committed and the investigation that followed. The book was evidently complied shortly after the death of Fred West in jail so the events are all so raw - and this shows in the interviews. But their relationship together struggled, with Fred never really taking the marriage seriously despite Rena’s best efforts. However the end result, no matter what the real motivation behind the publication of the book was, is the publication of a truly unique insight into exactly what it was like behind the walls of 25 Cromwell Street. The book is written in Stephen and Mae West’s own words which were taken from detailed interviews with the News Of The World newspaper.

Most purchases from business sellers are protected by the Consumer Contract Regulations 2013 which give you the right to cancel the purchase within 14 days after the day you receive the item. Again, there’s much confusion and anger at what is happening, their joint struggle at accepting what is being said in court causing a vast amount of pain for Stephen and Mae. The two oldest surviving children of Fred and Rosemary West tell the terrifying story of life at 25 Cromwell Street.

e. Stephen and Mae West’s words) were obtained, the book’s structure, and ultimately identifies the book as part of Stephen and Mae’s ‘rehabilitation process’. The book then goes on to describe Rosemary West, the woman who became his wife and accomplice in his crimes.
