About this deal

Unwanted holes or chips in your wood furniture do not mean the end of your favorite household pieces. But it was the first filler that I liked other than Minwax two part stuff (the fumes of which are really bad). My experience has been that the wood filler never stains the same as the rest of the wood so it really shows.

Fast drying and ready mixed, they can be sanded after application for a smooth finish and don’t shrink and crack after over time. EDIT: I let the sun bake it a bit more and then I took some of my Ceramic Gray Elegoo resin and put a coat of it on top of the filler, worked like a dream and work can finally resume! As for the product, I have been using it for years and highly recommend it for filling holes in wood and have used it for garage door dings, window rot and decking posts gouges. I’ve also tried a plastic wood for burns in the past……prestain a blob of it, fill the burn and touch up the spot little by little with a Q tip dipped in your stain. For floorboards to deck posts, Elmer’s Carpenters wood fillers are easy to identify by usage, application and color.

Actually the stainable one is much grainer and really sucks, in my opinion, for filling balsa voids. In fact I’ve glued broken wood pieces back together filled the gaps with wood putty then went to sand the area and I noticed that I could no longer see where the crack was, since I applied enough on so this wood filler can really work but it depends is the environment more humid or more dry. I have been using the Elmer's for a couple of years now for certain projects (Painted projects), haven't seen the name change, but I get mine at Lowes, as I haven't seen it at Home Depot.

Filling the gaps is something that can be done at home with only a few supplies and a little bit of patience. From filling nail holes in molding strips to filling gaps in hardwood floors, Elmer's Carpenter's Wood Filler tubes make the task quick and easy. Our wood fillers come in a variety of assorted colors or in a stainable formula that allows for easy stain matching. I will be interested to see how it works for you and what options you try as I have a desk in the same condition right now that I want to redo. They did have one last tube of the plain wood filler (though, it just listed it as interior, rather than the usual interior/exterior).

So I sanded down a Boba Fett helmet dome portion too far and the infill was quite visible and you could feel it, so instead of caking on Bondo I got some Elmer's Wood Filler Interior, watered it down and painted it on, fixed that issue wonderfully HOWEVER it is not very hard and I can put cuts in it with just my fingernails, so I'm wondering if anyone's used this before, does it hold primer well, and have I ruined my helmet? Meanwhile, I'll do some tests on the plain "interior only" CWF tube I bought from walmart, to see if it acts like the usual stuff or the nasty "stainable" stuff. Funny, you should have read the reply I got back from Hershey's about their "Air Delights" chocolates. I usually use the 2 oz tubs, and it takes me a long time to go through it, so when I eventually crack open the 32 oz one, I'll portion it out and make sure I keep it sealed/moist. Please include what you were doing when this page came up and the Cloudflare Ray ID found at the bottom of this page. I like the square container (easier to scrape out with a putty knife or taping knife), but Elmer needs to provide one that seals tight.
