Perhaps being the father of a young daughter led to some bias when it comes to Inside Out, but watching Riley and Joy fight their way through their separate and shared situations, all of which is delivered with Pixar's trademark creativity, humor and heartfelt emotion, one can't help but be enamored with the film, its characters, its story and its artistry. This is an area of filmmaking most people never think about, and this featurette shines a bit of light on its difficulty and importance.

And though Kaling, Hader and Black all are well cast for their own characters and the emotions the represent, Smith as Sadness is just perfect, giving Poehler an excellent foil and nailing the concept of sadness in a way that manages to not feel excessive. On Blu-ray, it looks and sounds dynamite, and is supplemented by a great deal of bonus content that both entertains and informs about the animation process. It’s a godsend for me as it means I may actually get 2 seconds to make a cuppa or go to the loo if I put it on! A musical fable about romance between a pair of anthropomorphic volcanos, written and directed by James Ford Murphy, it's narrated through a Hawaiian slack-key guitar song and hits all the right notes of emotion one expects out of Pixar, with some beautiful water animation techniques that are likely to become a part of the upcoming Finding Dory.gives another look into the minds of Inside Out's stars, as Mom and Dad cope with the possibility that Riley is going on her first date with her fluffy-headed friend Jordan. I especially loved the use of colors in the picture and how various colors had a certain emotion attached to it. In every passing hour without Riley’s core memories and all emotions presents, the islands of her personality begin to crumble.

The DVD captures the capacity, peak time crowd having it large on the dance floor with behind the turntable footage of countless A List guest DJ’s from around the world, all booked to play at the infamous Glasgow Arches club which closed almost 10 years ago.Based in Headquarters, the control centre of 11-year-old Riley's mind, five emotions are hard at work, led by lighthearted optimist Joy.

Anyway, after all the hype, which always puts me off a film, because if it's any good, it should sell itself, without all the marketing and toys to go with it.For anyone thirsty for knowledge and with the welfare and comfort of their horse in mind, this is a must watch DVD! The film has an optional audio commentary from director Pete Docter and co-director Ronnie Del Carmen (with director of photography Patrick Lin and Hader joining in for a bit, and an attempt for another guest. It was way too adult for kids, and way too childish for adults; there were some great moments and one or two really fun scenes, but there were also long stretches of fairly bland, almost tedious, material which has NEVER been the case in previous offerings from this studio. Her dreams are located in a movie studio lot where various actors assemble to stage her dreams as movie productions.It's those characters that make the film work in the end, especially Joy, whose sunny disposition gives the film its energy and attitude. Award-winning animated comedy drama from Disney/Pixar featuring the voice talents of Amy Poehler, Phyllis Smith, Bill Hader, Lewis Black and Mindy Kaling. It’s a very relatable tale of a little girl homesick for the home and life she’s about to leave behind. At the helm in a control center are her five key emotions controlling her actions with strategic turns at the wheel (or in this case a big button). While Riley copes with a new school and all the stresses that come with trying to fit in in a new place, much of the film takes places in the world of Riley's mind, which the filmmakers have masterfully designed to represent the functions of memory and emotion in a way that makes perfect sense the first time it's explained.
