stars because I did predict the killer towards the end - though to the authors credit (who to my surprise is a guy 👏 🙌🏻) I did go back and forth on a few assumptions so he had me guessing for a while. It's very fast paced and easy to read, leaving the reader constantly guessing who the killer could be. Gwen Turner is still devastated by the breakup of a long term relationship, but enough is enough, she’s joined the new dating app Connector, and she’s putting herself out there again (well, at least dipping her toes in)! I found this a real page turner and I think I’d gone through suspecting pretty much every character as the murderer as the book went on, definitely one that keeps you guessing literally until the second to last chapter! I just only have it 4 stars as Gwen did give me pick me vibes every once in a while and it made me cringe.

Not only does Chilton do a great job capturing the voice of a snarky 29-year-old woman who's hit a couple speed bumps in life recently, but he did a fantastic job writing realistic and cringeworthy dates. After a breakup with her long term boyfriend, Gwen can’t help but constantly refresh her dating app to stay distracted and to maybe move on.
