The paint pads are securely sealed in the unit during the manufacturing process and not removable, so we do not recommend attempting to remove them. The paint strokes are not full with color but splotchy like many of the photos shown in the other reviews.

The brush tip will stay illuminated for approximately 5 to 8 seconds while it goes from paint to paper.Putting brush to paper was not only fun, but really neat to see the “magic” happen right before our eyes.
