I hope she one day reads up about these types of people and realises that their behaviour is on them, not her. The people who spread abuse online need to read this and take a good look at themselves and how far they can truly push someone to the brink, which in turn affects the whole family unit.I sound my own difficult to deal with over the years as well as that of my husband and children and lost a friend due to mental health.

I knew I would like the book but I didn’t expect that it would be one of the best books I’ve ever listened too. While i dont think kate is innocent or has been willing to take responsibility i do feel for the amount of crap shes gotten unfairly and she is undoubtedly a strong woman.

I picked this book for another August 'Bookshelf Raiders' read because of the fact I am a mother, and I hold the belief that no one loves or knows you as a mother does. A well written memoir and an in interesting insight into how fame can have such a far reaching impact on loved ones.

I really enjoyed hearing more about Amy's life, as well as the life of Katie, her brother and sister, and Katie's children and ex partners. Amy gave a balanced and honest viewpoint of everything in both hers and Katie's life, which was refreshing to read.
