Metaxa 7 Star Amphora is a Greek, brandy-based spirit that is produced by blending a cask-aged brandy with muscat wine and a top-secret recipe of botanicals, including star anise and rose petals, then further ageing it for 7 years. Forever associated with being on holiday, Metaxa is known as a brandy (for some reason I always thought it was Spanish!
